His insistence on trying to justify Enrique and spain is turning to something else beyond facts. I don taya. grin

So Deschamps own is not long term success abi
Spain over ten years, no trophy, no finals = excellent results

France in ten years: one Euro final, one world cup, one world cup final = poor result.

How can such a judgment be accepted

You didn't understand my sarcasm.
What I mean is that Mourinho is known for his defensive approach to games so we might see Osimehn (a striker) playing as a DM.

Never going to happen, if he is going to use somebody there, it will be someone with stamina and a tireless worker, and that's Etebo

Another masterpiece that highlights where I feel the problem lies.

Over years, many teams play safe and rely on counter-attacking spaces. Over time, when faced with a well organized, center dominating side, they are clueless about how to attack.

With all the fire power of France, they lacked ideas on how to build attacks.

Who is arguing against it that France was poor. Beyond even poor, Deschamps got his tactics wrong but as a good coach, he responded swiftly.

Your call for his resignation is unjustified. Simple.

I don't think the tactics were wrong or the team set up and or strategic plan.

You had Dembele, Griezman, and several of others not on their A game. This was not tactics but players whi for reasons unknown played well below par. Too many players were lethargic and mentally not up for the game.

I actually thought they were suffering from the after and current affects of a virus running through the team.

Too many players let the team down.

Put in a fully fit Pogba , Kante the backbone of the team in recent times and a world class Benzema we will not be talking tactics but commending the tactics of Deschamps as Argentina get pulverised.

For one Kante would have rendered Messi impotent.

Le Penn is now 94 so shouldn't be active in politics at that age, his daughter is still in the french assembly and is the head of the far right movement. Secondly, Coman and Toomuchmoney have already been racially abused online by some french guys I guess.

We were making reference to the comments of Jean Louis Marie Le Pen in 1998 he was 69 then at that TIME. He is NOW a relic of the past.

SPEAKING to Bein Sports on 26th December 2020, Kylian Mbappe rubbished claims that he was denied a chance to play for Cameroon.

When asked about reports on social media suggesting he didn’t represent Cameroon because his Cameroonian father Wilfred Mbappe was asked to pay money, Mbappe junior said there was no truth in it.

“Yes I heard about this trending on social media before, it was a surprise. From my first professional game at Monaco, I don’t think the other federations had enough time to make contacts with me or my family. Not that of Algeria, not that of Cameroon. I got into the France national team so fast.” he said. His mother Fayza Lamari is Algerian.

“What is the source of this social media information?” Mbappe asked with a smile.”
“It is unfortunate when people with bad intentions attempts to tarnish our image. Footballers are models for kids out there, so we don’t speak carelessly. Sometimes people without the mandate to speak for us generate and spread all sorts of information without ever having a discussion with us”

“Concerning this issue, I want to categorically state that; I have never made contacts for international football with Cameroon or Algeria”;
Mbappe concluded.

I concur with you. When you win, everything you do is right, when you loose everything you do is wrong. Had France won, you'd have seen how Deschamps would have been hailed as a tactical genius and Scaloni utterly condemned for letting a 2 up lead slip out of his hands a second time.

But if we want to be objective without letting our bias color our judgment, we would look at the results Deschamps has achieved with the French team during his stint. That should guide our judgment not the outcome of one just single game no matter how important.

In spite of having top of the range quality players at his disposal, Guardiola's barca were walloped 7- 0 by Bayern. His Bayern side were taken to the cleaners by Real Madrid. Guardiola lost in a Champions league final. Yet nobody in his right mind would argue that Gaudiola is a poor tactician

Kante would have rendered MESSI impotent?
Is it the same Kante that faced MESSI and later on fainted at Chelsea training or another Kante?
With all the players France had in 2018, including Kante and Pogba which is far better than their 2022 squad, they were only able to win a less fancied and individual playing Argentina 4-3.
Even if France had Zidane and Henry, ARGENTINA would have still beaten them on Sunday.

Yeah, i agree with the bolded. This argentine team can't protect a lead against a good team.
It happened against Holland and now, it happened again against France.
They could not even protect a lead for 10 minutes in extra time.
Scaloni deserves critisicm for that despite winning the trophy.
I think that the Argentine defence is a little suspect and the team lacks a little mental strength.
but people won't talk as he won.
Also, he brought out Di maria at the wrong time and dybala could have played in extra time.
In fact Martinez was not in form and he used and selected him.
Well, all will be forgotten as he won

Just win and you will be crowned king. All I know is that this thing we watch on TV looking all soft is hard. Varane gassed out. That's how hard it is.

Di Maria was the one putting pressure on the French defense, he kept Kunde busy so that he could not help the attack. But Scaloni made the error of removing him and then Deschamps responded by throwing in Coman. He lost sha and nothing else matters

As I watched Messi lift the world cup, I mused to myself: where is Mikel?

Why do this guys give our players who are in the same bracket with them so much gap in a matter of years?

One took charge over the course of his life, while the other allowed himself to be fed crumbs just to belong, just to get play time. One took took advantage of his strengths, waxed strong in them, and became a legend, the other just wants to survive and was made to do things which were not to his exact strengths.

To summarise, one believes he has a choice, the other thinks he doesn't.
