That was the facts presented yesterday. And these two elections are not on the same day. The governorship is a week after Nigeria has known her new president.

Most Senators have to ride on the popularity of the Presidential candidate. Many people here don't even know the names of the senators of the different parties contesting for their zones.

Can you tell us the Senator representing PDP, APC, and LP for you zone? I doubt. But you definitely can for the governorship.

In 2015, Buhari won the presidential election in Lagos. Goodluck Jonathan won a particular zone in Lagos, and the senator and HoR that won there too were PDP

People cannot differetiate both on that day, because they don't even know the senator sef

The answer to your question is in another question. How will they win those elections in the first place without Wike's financial muscle? Wike had to bail out Ikpeazu by giving Abaribie 100m to step down for him. I also know for a fact that Wike is financing Sandy Onor in Cross Rivers. Where do you expect him to get the money to go against the State Governor. Elections cost a lot of money. That is why you'll notice Wike can't control the governors of Akwa Ibom, Delta and Bayelsa. They are as rich as he is.

Wike was also wrong with his calculations when he contested the presidential primaries but he wasn't with the Governorship that brought him in. No one is right all of the time

1. Wike throws money at Cross River PDP to ensure Atiku does not get their votes . They accept his money , campaign for somebody else and Atiku loses as planned . Wike is happy and they have earned their money too. Atiku loses out .

2 Wike throws money at Cross River PDP to ensure Atiku loses ; they accept his money , they refuse to campaign against Atiku and he wins. Wike is sad , cross River PDP enjoys their money , Atiku is happy and is now in the debt of Cross River PDp whom he will consider for compensation soooner or later in his presidency .

Will u call Cross River unreasonable for their position in scenario 2 ?

Just take a look at Tinubu aligning with GEJ back then for his presidential election as against his own party’s presidential candidate ….. Didn’t Tinubu later regret it ? Wasn’t he at the forefront of people that later wanted GEJ out ?

Even u know Lagos is an outlier . As someone who has lived in Lagos all my life and who has been politically conscious since the advent of Democracy I can tell u categorically it is the unserious demeanor of the major opposition PDP in Lagos that has been responsible for Tinubu still calling shots in Lagos .

I’ve even said it here before , PDP wakes up less than 1 year to governorship election , conduct primaries , post few posters and run one or two jungles expecting people to come out and vote them in despite having close to a non existent structure in ground .

APC all through the 4 years period to the next election conduct weekly party meetings across different wards . This is what I have witnessed over the years . Anybody who wants to contest for let’s say councilorship will go to these ward meetings regularly , discuss with the elders and youth of the party about his plans and what he will do for them as a party . These party people will start making their family members , neighbors and friends with voters card to get familiar with the guy and all. Now how will a PDP candidate whose party has no such structure in place for 4 years thinks he will win against such candidate even with rigging ?

PDP Lagos is not serious and I can say it anywhere . Them supposed liquidate the party make we kuku know say no opposition jare.
