It could very well be a true story based on this tale alone..

"Dr Harry Rimmer, D.D., Sc.D., tells of personally meeting a sailor who fell overboard from a trawler in the English Channel and was swallowed by a gigantic Rhincodon whale shark.

The entire trawler fleet set out to hunt the shark down and, 48 hours after the accident, the shark was sighted and slain with a one-pound deck gun. The carcass was too heavy for the ship's winches to handle, so the crew towed it to shore, intending to give their friend a Christian burial.

When the shark was opened, the man was found unconscious but alive. He was rushed to hospital, where he was found to be suffering from shock alone, and was later discharged.

He was on exhibit in a London museum at a shilling admission, and was advertised as "The Jonah of the Twentieth Century."

Dino Fossils With Tool Marks?!

Remember a while back when I told you all about my favourite book on Genesis and Creation, and that I would be posting from it soon?

Well, I totally forgot about this one little fun fact. While skimming through it, I found this photo of what is reported to be cut marks on dino bone, now of course a fossil. This was discovered in Ely, England in a quarry.

Think G--gle is your friend? Try finding this. It's absolutely nowhere to be found. I took a photo with my phone camera of the page with the photo and I can work on getting it clearer.

But I highly suggest getting a copy of the book. It's filled with little surprises like this.

Now, how on earth can you explain tool marks on a dinosaur bone, if man and dinosaurs were separated by millions of years? Hmmm.....

Death throes

A great many dinosaur fossils and skeletons are found in what is called the "dead dinosaur pose."

Many hypotheses were proffered to explain why this is such a common occurrence, from rigor mortis, to dying while asleep, to salt water dehydration.

However, experimental testing has ruled all these ideas out.

The best explanation, seen in animals today, is that they take this position in the midst of death throes while still alive, resulting from muscle spasms due to oxygen starvation of the brain.

In short, they suffocated. Due to the conditions necessary for such rapid burial and quality preservation, the best cause for this suffocation is drowning.

Why do we find so many drowned dinosaurs, pterosaurs, birds, and other creatures around the world?

The paleontological fraternity will never admit it, but the best answer is recorded in the Bible: a worldwide flood.
