Please what’s the process of submitting the passport?
I went through interview for my PR application hence I don’t know the process of passport submission.

Not sure but mine took 19 working days, including the days I went to VFS to submit and to pick up. (I didn't count weekends and public holidays.)

I submitted to Abuja on the 11th of January via DHL from Benin it got there on the 13th and passport is ready for pick up on the 18th. It was pretty fast

Sure you can invite your parent to visit but how will you proof that it you to pay their cost of travel as a student in canada ..did you have the finance to proof that u can take care of ur visiting parent?? What visa officer is concern about is who will bear tbe cost of the travel and proof of the finance to pay for visiting parent

I think this is what i submitted.

My letter of intent gave a brief intro about me and what i do, my purpose of travel, my funding for the trip and return to country home ties.

My documents was also all well labelled and arranged.

Please has anyone sent their passport to Ghana through Vfs Lagos between December and now, and gotten their passport back?

I sent my passport since December 13th, the last update I got was on December 22nd that “Your processed passport has been forwarded to the Canada Visa Office on 22/12/2022. I called Vfs Lagos last week and I was told my passport is still in Ghana. My travel date is fast approaching and I don’t know what else to do

That's not correct, Vfs still do walk in passport submission. I submitted mine days ago, and paid 10,940. No appointment needed. 8am to 10am daily.

I’m sorry just seeing this now.
I paid the transmission fee to their sterling bank account, printed out the receipt, printed out the PPR email, hand filled 2 copies of the consent forms, made a copy of the biometric forms that has a sticker on it and a colored copy of my data page( all 2 copies). Behind the data page of the passport full name, phone No and email and put in a brown envelope. Took to dhl office the only agreed to do a one way courier to Abuja. I paid about 13k from Benin and they got it in 2 days. I got an email acknowledging receipt by vfs and passport was sent to CVAC the next day and another mail with tracking details sent to me. As soon as it was returned I also got an email notifying me in about it. I’ll send to your email too

You just apply not even 1 month...madam pls wait..l apply for my cousin since july and no update even reach out to the MP my area and still go and wait ircc on it. Some even over a year and no reply!

I'd cancel and reapply using the new portal.

Just be patient. I applied in early 2020, just before the pandemic, and i just got contacted lastweek for passport submission, almost 3 years.... so, just be patient.

Hello so I have been following and decided to sum up the courage and let it out. So my mum decided to apply for the visitor as a start. She’s igbo so decided to got hold of an agent so he asked for the necessary info and all and paid him not all but just part and he applied on my behalf. By that I don’t even have access to my portal, i did my biometrics with two of my cousin and a family visitor’s visa. He convinced my mom and he used different properties in our names and the bank thing that made us look like we have enough but we have never traveled so our passports are just like fresh out the bakery and that was April 2021, and re Applied September when the new portal was introduced and he did the application and send a picture of my portal to me so I see. So my only concern is I don’t want give up cause I know I’m not the only one experiencing such but I don’t know what to think anymore. What do y’all think? Just say something good pls and I did this so I can get insight and advice of some sort if you know what I mean

You are free to resubmit a new application if you choose to, but don't cancel the initial one because both are now open for processing after the submission of the second application.

Whenever they start processing one of the applications, the other will be automatically removed from the portal.

I used the old portal, did biometrics 23rd December, ppr 18th January. I don't think there's any need .

My question is what will be the possible way if I enter canada with visit visa that will lead me to PR. More over I will be going with my drivers licence, any strategy to find my way out to become PR ?
