geekseventplace: I will suggest you look around for a Naija granny that came around for same purpose then engage her, then give that stipend. Most people at that age range you are looking for and with visa already in the UK won’t do that job, when there are better more paying jobs around with opportunities. 3 Likes |

Try and rebooked the same hotel is there's still available for your date or try and look for no prepaid payment needed or free cancellation use another card to book, Mind you if you use Nigeria card for hotel reservation that charge prepaid you will continue experience that, better you use domiciliary dollar card to book for the hotel or use your Nigeria card to book for hotel with no prepaid payment needed djbaju: |

Thanks for the reply, First I used a domiciliary dollar card, I checked the hotel again on booking.com & agoda but it says all rooms are out, I don’t know why they cancelled my initial reservation, I don’t know if I will need to cancel application again but if I cancel how sure my next booking will not face the same challenge Oluwaloniglory7: |

If I paid for super priority service and decided to cancel my application before biometrics, will I get a refund of super priority fees? |

Write a cover letter and state that you have found a hotel and made a reservation but that you dont want to pay yet until you get your visa and are definite on your travel date. This was the exact words I used on my cover letter when i applied last year because I didnt want to pay for hotel without visa and my visa was approved. djbaju: 1 Like |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Ashirioluwa: 8:12am On Jan 26, 2023 |
harddrive2012: It’s possible, but somehow risky. The general rule is that your passport should be valid for the whole of your stay in the UK. However, this situation will depend on the immigration officials at the border; if they feel that your passport might expire while you are in the UK, they will not let you in. |

SpiceQueen01: Sometime ago, I read it here on Nairaland that it can be challenging to get a refund from TLS. TLS has what is called a "14-day cancellation cooling off period," meaning that you can cancel for a refund within this period if you haven't done biometrics and your application has not been forwarded to UKVI for processing. I believe the 14-day cooling-off period starts from the day the service is paid for, not when biometrics is done. You can also go to the TLS website to read about their full cancellation policy. https://visas-be.tlscontact.com/terms-of-service/rw/rwKGL2be 1 Like |

Good evening everyone, I submitted my application for Visitors Visa renewal on the 13th January 2023. I got an email today that my passport is ready for collection at TLS. My question is this: Are every refusal notice sent via email attachment to the applicant or enclosed in the collection package? I tracked my application it shows application received by VAC. I will appreciate an answer. Thanks. 1 Like |

Good evening Everyone, My mum will be applying to the UK for a visitor/Tourist visa. We have a relative who also stays in the UK. Is it better she gets a letter of invitation from my aunty or she should just apply solely? She plans to visit the UK for 10 days. Which option will improve her chances more of getting the visa? Thank you |

I have been trying to get a refund for two separate payments of "keep my passport" service that wasn't used. TLS have yet to reply in this despite multiple messages. It is indeed a very frustrating experience. Ashirioluwa: |

I had a similar experience as the website wasn't working. When you get to the airport in Lagos, you'll be given this form to complete by the port health officers, so don't fret about this. Akpuoru: |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Newbiein2016: 6:26pm On Jan 26, 2023 |
My understanding from comments shared here has been that a large percentage of applicants whose visa have been refused get sent a refusal email. There are cases where the refusal emails are sent after you pickup your passport (this scenario is not the norm). Given you've not received this refusal email (do check spam as well), there's a high chance your visa has been approved and I encourage you to put yourself out of further mental misery and go pickup your passport to confirm your status. zaizai0080: |

Good evening house, can anyone help me on how I can get a police report for misplacement of collection slip. Tls staffs didn't give me collection slip after biometrics, now they ask me to bring police report. I don't know how to go about that. Please help me |
