How is old note been treated in your area? Are shops, filling station or banks accepting it?

Here in Isheri axis of Ogun state, everyone is rejecting it including shops, banks, filling station, supermarket etc

It's not like people have a choice. I still withdrew 10k of old notes yesterday from the POS....The queue was even long.

People accepted them yesterday, but I don't know how today will be. You cannot reject the old naira notes when the new naira is not available.

Emefiele and Buhari have thrown this country into confusion. Buhari is busy attending campaigns while the country burns. This is the height of insensitivity! 😑😑😑

I can NEVER praise Buhari for hurriedly changing the naira as a way of dealing with Tinubu or praise him for not attending Tinubu's campaigns! Never!!

As far as I am concerned, Buhari, just like his good friend, Tinubu, is like a cancerous cell that shouldn't be allowed to fester.

I have repeatedly maintained that Aso Rock is not for oldies because they lack the brain and brawn to shoulder the responsibilities that come from that office.

In fact, show me one comment from this moniker saying that Buhari is dealing with Tinubu with Naira redesign. Yes, we all visit Nairaland to read news and comment, but some of us aren't petty.

It's unthinkable, senseless and idiotic to compare the strength of Peter Obi who visits three states in less than 24 hours with that of Tinubu whom people sometimes help to walk and climb podiums.

PS: I won't reply you again.

No matter what Buhari is trying to achieve with the swap deadline, as long as Nigerians have not been able to exchange their old notes for new ones, there will be chaos across the country if banks stop accepting the old notes. Riots will ensue, banks will be burnt, struggling Nigerians will definitely not be willing to accept loss of tens of thousands of naira.

Modified: Just check the gas station close to me here in Benin, the first one is not accepting the old notes, while the second one is accepting it. People buying gas are leaving the first one and going to buy at the second one.

Enemy of the masses.

This is one of them who would vote a man reputed to be a curse and bad omen.

That Anambra suffered from a wicked and visionless man, does not mean all of Nigeria should embrace same suffering from such visionless fellow who is pathologically wicked.

Both are still accepted. To even get the old notes na war. I withdrew some yesterday at an exorbitant cost. (After this whole ish, I'll make it a point to significantly limit my patronage of POS operators, many are really heartless).

If anybody likes let them join some politicians in rejecting it without any easily accessible alternative, na una go hear am.

I accepted it and used it throughout yesterday.

Emefiele was saying yesterday that there was no enough sentisitive materials to meet the demand of the new notes, how do you follow a confused person and not end up confused yourself?

Plus, there was a meeting yesterday with Buhari that ended without any clear direction as to whether old note should be used or not.

And again, supreme court balablu on Wednesday grin grin grin grin

Modified

I am still using it today and I am accepting it
