There was a period I stayed up to 15weeks.well I think they just pick people at random.there was also a period I spent 4 days.
I think they just pick some people and want them to come physically.I know of some1 that stayed up to 3months +,she wasn’t asked to come for an interview.again it’s over 10yrs I did my 10print.

Yea number discrepancy almost always costs you your appointment, cos they'll refuse to attend to you and you'll have to go schedule a fresh appointment.
Best way to get around this is this:
Carry both copies along.
To ensure there's no mismatch, take the original form.
To ensure the form is up-to-date, take the updated form.
Whichever one works for them, it will be up to the Visa Officer to decide. But you would have played your part in meeting every possible requirement.

Secondly, the point of IW is to eliminate the need for in-person interview. She doesn't have to show up.

No it’s not, I asked a question and u can choose to respond or not

it means it will be sent back to DHL for you to pick up. You can go and check it should be with DHL although now you have to schedule appointment to pick up.
Normally after the " your pastor is delivered to post" you are to see the new update that read "passport is ready for pick up"

Sorry about your dad's death.
I think you may need to fill out a new ds160 (it's possible some things have changed about her since last year) and then update the number on the CGI website.
If the question about your dad comes up during the interview she can always let the VO know about his death, she can also go with a copy of the death certificate to add credence.

Do I need to specify the purpose of her visit on the letter of invitation or create a generic invitation? Will specifying that she is coming to help with the newborn harm or help her visa approval?

what you state on the invitation letter doesn't really matter, in most cases the Visa officers don't read them.

The visa officer may need answers to these issues.
1. There are caregivers in the USA why can't you employ one of them instead of bringing your sister over. If its an elderly like your mum such makes more sense to them.
2. How do you prove that your sister doesn't have immigration intention ? Someone who is busy in Nigeria won't go to the USA for such.
3. Does your sister have enough travelling history.

These are some of the questions your sister needs to answer before her interview. Best of luck to her.

That means your sister is coming to U.S to work, if it was your mom it's a bit understandable.

Go to DHL House in Isolo. They have a separate office there where they attend to people. Just tell the security or any of the staffs that your location is Ikeja.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the embassy to send an approval email for IW appointment after applying? I applied for two relatives last week and only one of them got the email the day after applying to come submit document. Both relatives have similar story as they interviewed and traveled together in their past visits. Although, the second relative who is yet to get a response got a new passport since the former one containing his visa is expired. Could this be a reason for the delay? How long does it typically take to get a response after applying?
