What diabolical scheme are we talking about here ? That military will want to take over ?

Diabolical schemes come in different modes. Ona kan o woja. As long as you consider that massive troop deployment might be good and might be bad depending on how the cookie crumbles.

That we know buhari is not in good terms with Tinubu as of last week doesn't mean they cannot be in good terms this week sha.

We can only hope they behave on election day and ensure there's peace.

I'm just laughing at the suggestion, tactical maneuvering to stage a surprise attack. Remember Sudan, Egypt when there were pockets violence and soldiers deployed to restore calm seize control

Massive troop deployment can go wrong in a multitude of ways. That is even if the deployment was for altruistic reasons in the first place.

According to the INEC timetable , campaigns stop are to stop 24 hours to a day before the election ( As provided by the electoral act 2022) . That means campaign for the presidential elections will end 23rd February 2023.

I guess this explains why all political parties are still doing campaign till now (unlike what we had in the past )

Its election week

For those that will be voting, check and know where your polling unit is ahead of time.

On election day, stay vigilant and at alert.

Shun violence and every form of electoral malpractice.

Vote and if you can stay till your polling unit votes is counted and result announced, if you cant vote and go back home. Safety first.

Overall use your head, election is not war.

Since 2015 our elections has been peaceful to a large extent. I expect this to be largely peaceful also.

The govt just need to make sure that those identified hotspot for violence are well secured.

Omo, what most people in my area are saying is "We will repay back APC for what we pass through in the last 7+ years on election day. APC is a taboo to them. When they remember the recession, the fulani herdsmen killing, the hunger.

Most churches in the past months ask members to vote because of the Muslim Muslim ticket. How can a party produce same faith ticket in a country where you have half the population practicing other faith. It's to say, "you are insignificant, you are nothing".

APC/Buhari actually demarket Tinubu because of Buhari failure. Yes, most people in the North say Buhari is a failure no thanks to the banditry. Not having access to their farms.

Nah bruh the plan of Nigerians is to reward those who pioneered this hardship with leadership. We want to renew the Change.

Nawao. This is really fvcked up.
What's wrong with Emefiele? Why can't he release enough #200 and #100 notes to cushion the effects of this cash scarcity..

At least, it's getting better now. This time last week, where I wan see 10k. It should get better than this once the election on Saturday is over

It's getting better here as well. Not as good as you have described but certainly not as bad as it was last week.

It's a normal thing that's been happening since the last few elections. It's not a novel occurrence.

Trust you're geared up for Saturday. Don't forget to register on the INEC results portal so you can cross check results uploaded on the portal to what happened in your polling unit.

That's why I'm always wary of mass demonstrations/protests because underneath you always have anarchists and hoodlums waiting to destroy everything.

Another angle. What I am yet to see discussed in all permutations is the extent to which rigging still has an impact on elections.

In other words, by how much percentage can a sitting Governor influence the outcome of elections in his state.

Say in the last election, they said no voting except by PVC card reader, then card reader started breaking down in remote locations all round the country and INEC allowed them to use paper ballot and write result, and some thugs just intimidate some polling booth, pay all agents and INEC staff on ground and write result. To what extent can Governors still "deliver" in modern elections using these means? If this is still significant, then LP has no hope at all.
The only way to rig is to buy vote (assuming that is classified as rigging).

1. No BVAS no election. If the BVAS didn't work, go and collect another one. If that one didn't work, no election.

2. If you're not accredited, you can not and will not vote. Accreditation and voting takes place simultaneously.

3. Results are written and transmitted immediately after elections before all observers at the polling unit. Nothing like collation centre.

4. Snatching ballot box is meaningless. The unit will be automatically cancelled. Only if need be will it be rescheduled. That's if the cancelled units can affect the overall outcome of the elections.

So LP and other parties won in court against inec using MC Oluomo to transport electoral materials.

They are just embarking on wanton destruction of properties that will not yield any positive response from the authorities; instead some of them will get shot at, some will die and those who survive will face difficulties to access cash in their community going forward.

I don't know what these APC bots takes Nigerians for, zombies, dummies I am involve in bakery business and I know how far. Floor, sugar, gas most things prices triple. We increase the price of bread, it's the consumer that will pay for it.

I'm involve in rice milling, we make use of 15hp electric motor. Electric supply is our bottleneck. We use gas as alternative, gas we use to buy 290 naira in 2015 is now 890 per litre.
We increase the price per kg of rice milled.

I'm involve in poultry, most people use poultry products, they know far.

After all these you expect people to thumb print your party? Party that was responsible for the hardship they pass and are still passing through
