The ruling party always rig itself to power. That Jonathan foolishly relinquished his seat doesn't change anything.

I don't know why we will come online and choose to lie to ourselves, haba!!

Jonathan rigged as best he could but didn't have the Governors in the North, and Kano result finished him

Kano INEC rec and his family were burned alive inside their house the next week

As if we did not live through it. How gej delayed the election when it was clear apc had gained momentum. The plan was that they would run out of money. I know for a fact that during those two weeks apc had to engage in serious alternative fundraising

Its either you like the truth or you deny it. Politicians are already making moves today

In the words of Puff Daddy, "I tell it how it is and you tell it how it might be"

Even Wike had to fight to Supreme Court to keep his mandate. A lot will be overturned. Some (not all) politicians will face choices of decamp or get overturned

APC sabi scout sha. Rev. Father Alia na confam big catch. APC won 2 out of 3 senatorial seats, and 10 out of 11 HOA seats in Benue.

Ortom even lost his senatorial bid to APC. Its definitely over for PDP in Benue State, APC will take over.

People like Dino, FFK are not people you take serious in politics, Besides having almost no electoral value, they are not people you want to associate with if you are serious

Atiku now made Dino is main man who was doing stunts to mock Tinubu on stage. Atiku and Tinubu will reconcile, Where will that leave Dino who wants to rappee the first lady
Ah, APC did well to keep FFK on their payroll, though his job was difficult because of how much he'd cussed APC over the years. FFK with the Peter Obi movement would have been devastating, an endless retinue of gags, especially with BAT providing easy content, but there's no way FFK would have taken a risk with Obidients, he's always where his bread is most likely to be buttered...except you refuse to butter his bread.

I like Seyi Makinde but I am not sure he is gonna win re-election. APC clear all senatorial and hoa seats in the state.

Bad omen for him, but I hope he can do the impossible with power of incumbency.
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Donjazet2: 5:17pm On Mar 01, 2023
A stolen mandate will never stand!!!

Tinubu was rigged into office and that is a slap to all our faces!

There was no smartness or anything, just wicked crookedness and impunity!

We will get our justice!!

That's a state APC cannot afford to lose. The fight will be severe like 2019

seyi makinde is definitely winning.

Apc bleeped up when they gave the ticket to a thug.
Adelabu is much better choice.

I'm actually more worried about dapo abiodun's chances But time will tell.

The possibility of him loosing Kano is very high. Even his son lost his House of Rep election

SE... I was expecting APGA to perform well but with Obi waves, LP is coming to bury Ojukwu Structures completely in the Region.

APGA is confined to Anambra State only. No hope again to push further and gain more states in the Region.

Eleyi is safe. PDP in Ogun State is divided while Amosun's candidate isn't that strong.

Dapo will win. Na confirm.

Adelabu has himself to blame for losing the APC structure that he inherited from Ajimobi. After Ajimobi death, i expected him to have been at the forefront of opposition in the state consolidating his reach and loyalist but he was nowhere to be found until Folarin had the entire structure in his palm. It wasnt until congress before he realized that Folarin had hijacked APC Oyo away from him.

Opposition is hard, its even harder if you are now an absentee leader, your followers will follow the leader thats available.

SS.... they understand the game better. PDP Structures would be maintained in Rivers and Akwa Ibom. PDP will regain Cross River from APC. Delta may go to APC, coz obviously Okowa is dead politically.

Mr. Edo no be Lagos has murdered PDP, and it will be buried by LP or APC. Bayelsa will be won by Lyon of APC when the time comes.

Tinubu will most likely tell Amosun to collapse his structure and candidate for Dapo.

Lagos will be keenly contested but Sanwo-Olu will win. Ogun will be tough but Eleyi is more likely to retain his seat. Oyo.......? I can't really say, its gonna be damn tough to predict.

APC will retain Ondo when time comes, Osun is lost temporarily to PDP. Ekiti already in the bag of APC.

Delta, Edo and Bayelsa with most likely go the way of APC.

Akwa Ibom might swing either way.

PDP will win Cross Rivers and Rivers.

Very true but it might still swing to APC. Some Southern Kaduna guys (SK) are saying LP sold PDP out. No one voice now. Some are saying they will vote for PDP some are saying APC but I know most will vote for PDP.

It can swing either way.

Ashiru vs Uba Sani.

These people who have been shouting "Biafra or death" "No referendum no peace" "we no want Nigeria again" "we will burn Nigeria" "nothing dey Nigeria again" suddenly changed tune to "Obidient" "Obi for president" "better Nigeria" "New Nigeria" etc. They overnight started loving a country they've hated and labelled "zoo", celebrated Buhari's new monetary policy, started praising everything Buhari does in the leadup to the election. a Buhari they very much don't hide their despise of. suddenly they rebelled against stay at home order and we're even rejoicing at the news about their demigod, Ekpa's, arrest. they now wanted a New Nigeria but their reactions show they don't really want any new Nigeria, they just want to rule at any cost. their new Nigeria can only come from surprise, surprise, someone that came from their religion and region. same lack of patience they had when they staged a coup to install ironsi claiming they did it out of love for Nigeria. a coup in which they killed majorly Hausa people including prime minister at the time and refused to kill their own too who were part of it which is what lead to the Biafra war which is part of the huge reason Nigeria is in this mess today.

This part is very, very disingenuous.

If we're being honest, before IPOB became a proscribed group, and before all of the blood-letting being ascribed to them (I do not deny the killings; I only think there are many obscure perpetrators), the fight for independence and secession was a genuine one.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to be alone, and to desire self-determination as an ethnic group. So long as it is granted peacefully and constitutionally.

This was their aim. And rightly so.

There were so many things happening under Buhari's regime post- 2015. I can't remember when the agitation started exactly, but it reached fervent high during his mid- tenure.

Sure, you can fault their words, but there is no denying the gross human rights' violation and corruption (at the top) that has been going on in this country for years. With a deeply entrenched, but subtle streak of Igbophobia.

If a friend is owing you money, and the very first time you asked them about it, and they begged you to exercise patience until next week, would you not be calm, hear them out and let them go?

If you're on a queue and you're getting agitated, and say, the receptionist or whoever, begged you to wait just one more minute...the average human will reasonably wait.

There are countless examples, but every single one of us have had a rethink or given second chances to some cases, situations, people.

It is not bad to hope for a redemption. Especially after one or a series of wrongdoings. It happens all the time in relationships too.

Different truths can co-exist. The New Nigeria that the Igbo people (and the rest of us) are looking forward to, under a representative of their own, because they've been denied it for so long, doesn't mean Nigeria as it is is currently good.

It is not a wrong thing to pine for the potentiality of Nigeria being changed from the inside-out, top to bottom and vice versa.

I mean, heck, do you not speak negatively to yourself sometimes?

I don't want to believe you've never been in a mess or fked-up situation, yet at the same time you're still keeping hopes up that your condition will change.

If you can understand this on an individual level, then you should understand it on an institutional level.

They were not wrong in clamoring for their separation (peacefully) then and they are not wrong in believing they'll FINALLY have a representation now.

And it is not because they want to rule at any cost as you misrepresented.

I don't need to tell you that being an Obidient transcends ethnicity, but you're free to believe what you want...

Ehen, and as per "loving" Bubu overnight lol.

Need I remind you that Buharists also "hated" him overnight?

I don't care if it was "drama." I am talking about it from the looks of things then.

What would you say to the governors who've kept quiet all through Buhari's neo-regime but suddenly found their voices when the naira crunch came up?

Shey it's you people that used to say it sef; interest in what matters in politics (and I believe in this to some extent). If a person like FFK and Wike can switch, why not the people who started "loving" Buhari, just because of his decisions that seems to be in favour of the electorate?

It's the same thing for all of us. Die-hard Buharists switched to hating and criticising him OVERNIGHT, and we switched to commending him in the blink of an eye. A dead clock is correct twice a day.

Apply everything I've said above to the defiance of the stay-at-home order too.

For the record, IPOB (as an organisation, which OFFICIALLY doesn't even support Obi nor Nigeria's elections) has also disassociated itself from Ekpa.

They've released press statements to these effects multiple times, but I guess some of us will believe what we want to believe and still push those narratives.

Hopefully, people who came before us Gen Z and who are versed in political history will beautifully address the part of your commentary talking about Ironsi.

If I knew well enough, I would have, but I can bet my thumb that your account of that coup will be a misrepresentation, as well, judging by the rest of your comment body.
