I strongly differ I can mobilize 15 boys that would smoke these u20 from amateur league no cap 🧢

Bro this game was an eyesore

How can the midfielders be better dribblers than the wingers

Game sense, positional awareness. All these are zero

Them just jam pack lucky players put for there.

Nothing they that Gambia from attack to defense that’s tough

Thats why I said the question really is dkd we really take our best from the academies? If we did, did we also take a good gaffer to coach?

The substitutions changed the game. It was as if Ladan had someone reading Nairaland cos he removed both 17 and 7 guy few minutes after my post. Based on the subs performance the boys actually deserved to go through. They were the better side. The Gambians created no single chance all game. That is football!

Very well said bro. Those changes really made them create more goal scoring chances. If that guy had converted that pen, they would av gone ahead to win the match.

Stop saying shit bruf it seems you don’t follow grassroots football at all.

Academy don’t beat amateur pro league sides it’s simple fact.

The best aren’t in the academies, it’s the lucky and rich that are in the academy

Same thing with u23 to u17.

The best don’t go the rich and lucky does

Make una caution una boy Osimhen

All this talk of premier league this and that, it's something he doesn't have to share with the media at this crucial time

When one talks too much, he would soon start speaking amiss

If you want to make a move, it's wise to do so quietly...

Even if the media would eventuially know and publicize it, it shouldn't be that you said "you want the EPL"

At a time when your team is trying to win the league after many years.

THe italian fans would come for him and his teammates may stop feeding him the ball

He should focus on what he has in front of him now. Wgen the time comes, he can start planning his move

I don talk my own

I know some people hard of understanding and comprehension ability will come for me. I will ignore them

You are really funny. This is under 20 competitions, my guy.
You are complaining of us not been able to score but failed to commend them for not allowing the Gambians to increase the goal margin. You are not commending them for finding a way back into the game by running and covering every space on the field. I bet you never kick footy before. Go and sleep guy!

We lost one nil but missed a penalty to equalize in the 85 minutes.

Well its ok. People always say age grade competitions are for unveiling or unearthing raw talents. I say that right there is an excuse to already fail. If you are gonna be going to competitions and playing mediocre games and loafing around on tax payer's money, why go in the first place? What is worth doing at all is worth doing well. But alas, we have saboteurs as our leaders. We start preparing for tourneys 1 week to actual showpiece. Amazingly, we still get upset when we crash out where it matters.

Lets reflect on these things and change the narrative. Start asking questions from the folks we put in charge

You recognize shit when you see it? I am not sure you do. What is wrong with people these days? You have inability to make robust conversation with someone you dont know and when you wanna show how intelligent you are, you resort to obscenities and expletives? I dont think I said anything untoward in my submission. State yours or skip. Simple arithmetic!

You mustn’t have taken your medicine this evening.

Upto to Senegal we were the favorites in my books

This is one of our poorest showings in recent years to tell you how far we’ve fell off.

Scouts come at these tourneys just to watch Nigeria play like we’re the favorites before the ball was even kicked that’s the image we have

So telling me that I should be happy Gambia didn’t extend their lead you’re clowning dawg

There’s not a single Gambia player that’s better than their opposite number in Nigeria

Amateur pro league sides are academy players who haven't made it to top leagues. Academy players can beat amateur pro league sides.

Academy is for people who want to play pro football professionally not the rich and lucky.

Stop saying nonsense..

I said this in my earlier post..pragmatism is the way to go...
u20 does not play good football, but they kept on winning and qualified for Indonesia.
they have a good defense, though uncoordinated...
they have a good goalkeeper...

You don't need talent to be in an academy. You need to pay fees to be in an academy unless the academy scouts the person and offers them scholarship..

An academy is a sports school and office.

So stop saying nonsense.

The keeper wasn't really tested. They rely too much on long balls and pace of forwards which I have said many times is the undoing of local coaches. when they stopped relying on long balls they started playing better.

Creating chances is something local coaches have to work on and the only way they can do that is to stop long balls and hoping the strikers get the ball.

If they are not as good as the old Bayern and Dortmund then victor isn’t remotely as good as Lewandowski at all.. you can’t eat your cake and have it again

You can't judge that until Osimhen plays with high grade players.

Where the talk is about is the quality of service and dominant play to get the best out of a Striker. You can't compare the service of Manchester City to Napoli.

Simple. Osimhen can't be rated in the class of Lewandowski because Lewandowski got to display his talent at the highest level. Lewandowski also had the highest level of tactical coaching.

Osimhen needs to work towards achieving these to make the best of his career and talent.

Finito.

I think we should differentiate the two kinds of long balls. Direct and diagonal.

Our local coaches need to stop relying on direct long balls and add more creativity to their build up play.

They tried diagonal and wingers couldn't get the ball or even control the ball.

Local coaches need to focus on short passes and the distance of the players from each other and passing in a triangular manner.
