Most users of Honda city (auto drive) have been known to complain about electrical and transmission issues. You can make more research on it.

Many thanks for your response bro! Respect!!

Hello guys. I’m beginning to doubt this e hailing of a thing. Or is it my location? I saw a trip that will take about 30 mins for 1,700 naira on indrive and drivers are picking it. Please is this how it works? And also is bolt now better than indrive? Indrive fare looks too cheap. The problem I have with bolt is that I can’t pick locations to go to and that has affected my driver’s score.

Please how are you guys doing it? Cos I learnt this business is profitable
Meet with drivers offline, let them show you how to go about it.

Mind you, you can't be too selective on areas to work as a newbie. Your first and second month should take you almost round Lagos, by the end of the second month, you would have marked your no go areas.

Thanks for the reply. I really don’t have opportunity to meet drivers offline. If you have experience how do you go about it please?

Concerning where not to go, from this thread I’ve been told to avoid festac, satellite town, mile 2, ikorodu. Although I don’t know those places but when I see them on app I don’t bother.

Please I will appreciate your contribution

So far you are out there hustling, you will meet drivers. Hint: when you see a Corolla parked with the driver hanging one leg outside, na driver grin Park behind him, , walk up to him and exchange pleasantries. From there you get to the main thing. If you happen to be on the island, go-to Chevron drive under the tree.

Good thing you have figured out the areas not to go but I kid you not, once in awhile you will need to go to those places. As you progress, you'll understand why.

Can Rida please shut up with their ride hailing price suggestion.

A trip came in on Rida and I saw the ride hailing price as 2800, and the rider reduced the price further to 2500.

I decided to check the price on Bolt and I saw it's between 3600 to 4400.

I checked Google maps, it was saying 1 hour, 14 minutes estimated time of arrival. What this implies is that the probability of the ride ending close or more than the maximum range on Bolt is higher considering the traffic condition.

Now, someone will take this trip for 2800 and be jubilating that he isn't paying commission, whereas he could have earned more doing the same trip on Bolt even with the 25 percent commission.

Lolz...if u don't accept it, go to court. grin

I spent 4hours from Computer village to Deeperlife, Gbagada this evening. See me thinking I was going against traffic.
Someone left VI at 4pm and didn't reach Magodo until 10pm. The construction work going on in that 7up and Opic, plus U turn in an already reduced road, it's crazy. Make them so fast abeg.

In this kind of hustle, experience is always the best teacher.
Avoid those areas mentioned, but if you want to have something to say about those areas, I mean, if you want to be able to lecture people about those areas, you need to go through those places and have the experience.
All drivers here will lecture you on the areas you're advised to avoid because they have been there. As dem dey tell you to avoid those areas, you self fit put head and see for yourself, that's where you will know which and which areas you go put on your red list.
There are other places worse than the aforementioned areas, but na as you dey hustle dey go, na there u go gather the necessary experience and you go become your own boss in area selections.
As you've been advised on avoidable areas, if you find yourself there, just be extra cautious.
The most important aspect of this is to ensure you avoid anything one-way. I repeat, avoid anything one-way.
As I keep saying, lecturing new drivers would not give them ALL they need to know, na the driving movement go give them the experience.
Much respect, boss.

Baba, yesterday was a nightmare to never be experienced twice.
From freedom way to Ikeja, started trip 15mins past 6pm, I found myself at passenger's destination @11:30pm. Trip of 6.5k sad
Na bolt drivers go smile yesterday for sure. cheesy
I dey house like this and I'm planning to sleep cos I no dey in mood to work today at all.
Even as at 1midnight, come see traffic,
I pitied people going to ojodu Berger and beyond.
I friend of mine who had a trip from surulere to ogudu said he spent over 4hrs inside traffic alone on ikorodu road.
Omoh, they need to hasten up the Berger express way. Cos that's where the traffic devil resides now.
Omoh, it was really a nightmare.
Much respect, boss.

Unfortunately, riders would continue reducing fare prices. Same as they do on indrive. It is in their blood and we don't have control over that.
Na inexperienced and greedy drivers go pick those kinda fares without increasing the prices from their own end, and it will end in tears for them.
When traffic dey plenty, many passengers go switch to indrive and start proposing yéyé prices, cos dey know say some scapegoats go sha pick am ni. Awón alakóri. grin grin grin
This driver below is one the 'brained' drivers that know what they're doing.
Much respect, baba.

I didn't.
I don't do this.
I embrace my pain and pleasure anytime it comes.
Soliciting extra fee from riders could attract unpleasant response/attitude from them and I don't take such.
Riders wey be say dem rude normally, make I come go ask for tip? Heheheheeee.

Some riders sef ,you order ride ,driver pick, take you from point a to b,we all know the Nigerian banks app/network are a pain in the neck,so I dropped off this dude and another trip enter, because I couldn't give the new rider time I will arrive because Indrive have change it,so I saw three minutes to pick up,the lady was pretty close to the place I was,so the dude complained of his bank app network delay,so he left but promise to do it immediately he enter his office,so I gave him the benefit of the doubt, but to my surprise after a few hours, notice he didn't send it,even the lady I picked after him her alert enter, tried calling him he hung up on me,wow 😲.but I don't believe in unnecessary childish banter or insult,so I just decided to be mature in how I deal with him with words, las las he called that he has sent it, claiming that he has forgotten sef.

For newbies and even the experienced

Avoid working odd hours. Around (4am-5am last week) Two cars were hijacked at gun point around Jakande estate,Isolo. A camry muscle and another corrolla. The corrolla has been found by police according to the victim who shared the WhatsApp audio.

Ignore any stupid Bolt driver score , if you sense
the trip is not safe especially with 2 male riders at odd hours, cancel or ignore the damn order.

stay safe,if you don't work on Bolt /Uber and no cash in your pocket ,but your life and car is safe. It's a good deal if you ask me ..

Question regarding rate. Please answer if you can

I am planning to use Uber in Lagos. What is a fair daily rate? I had a guy but he is no longer in the business. Driver will provide car and fuel. May be 5 or 6 trips a day within lagos. Will be sitting around a lot but will start about 7AM to 7PM. No out of state
