Why are people stupid like this. With hand written results, thuggery and INEC lack of transparency, people still call this election free, fair and credible |

georgeakins: Peter Obi is popular among his Ibo people but won states outside the south east Peter Obi won in lagos State, plateau State, Nasarawa State, Edo State, Cross river, Delta State and Abuja FCT, these are state outside the south east Infact, Peter Obi won in eleven state and FCT Abuja without a single governor No politician presently not even Tinubu himself cannot pull this stunt Peter Obi is undisputably at the moment the biggest politician in Nigeria |

Bobloco: Whoever believes in Nigerian polls need to have their head examined. The basis of the polls is fraudulent to say the least. The organizations performing the polls are already either biased, collected money hence to the highest bidder or based on online where the over 80% of voters cannot participate. When conducting a poll using apps, how many voters have access to online not to talk of having the app. When Stears claimed in their website that they are based in London while they are based in Lagos and conducting polls among the youth voter population, then you know that's a percentage of voter population. Scientifically, for any poll to be credible, it has to represents the voting population and the methodology have to be reproducable. All of the polls failed this litmus test. They are all skewed and not credible. Those conducting the polls are gullible and corrupt. The bad part of this is that people that cannot exercise their common sense will believe in this senseless polls and based their emotions on it when the actual voting results did not agree with these senseless polls. And guess what, they will still repeat same thing for the next election. 1 Like |

Ofunaofu: Ofunaofu, if you look at the states outside of the southeast enclave that Obi have the highest votes (as opposed to wining it) the votes he received were from the polling units dominated by the Ibos. For Obi to win national elections, he needs to learn from Buharis's book and reach out to other groups that make up the country, otherwise, he will repeat Buharis's mistake of loosing three times in a row. 1 Like |

Ofunaofu: Totally in agreement with you, the preelection opinion polls were 100% correct, it was INEC that shifted the goal post when the match was on, that gave the fake victory. The whole world did not recognise even the so called victory. My problem is that despite INEC admission that some of their staff compromised, some people still saying it is not enough to council the election, but failure to use BVAS and electronic transfer of result is the only difference in this election and previous elections, that make people assumed that our vote would count, so if solid foundation of anything is faulty, anything build on it must not also stand. |

It is only here on nairaland that you will be reading a commonsense defying post like this. Is it an election that INEC conducted on the 25th of Feb or electoral heist? Out of over 87 millions registered voters with their PVCs, only 25 million were able to cast their votes. Brazil is a country with the same population size as Nigeria, go and check the number of votes that the winner of Brazilian presidential election got in their last poll. About 60 millions Brazilians voted for their current President, while the former president who was the runner up of the election still came out with over 50 millions votes. But here in Nigeria, someone is declared a winner of presidential election with just 8 million votes. Even though we still know those 8 millions votes were not totally his. So it is safe to say that 200 million Nigerians did not participate in the last election out of about 225 millions population. |
