raumdeuter:Lols, watery argument. The ranking is there. Can you give us a similar ranking to back your claim? Just like most people know the countries in the world with the highest rate of terrorist attacks, most also know the most corrupt countries (i.e. those with the most corrupt public sector) in the world. Your attempt at whataboutism na weak one. |

raumdeuter:Lols, weak point again. I'm neither a politician nor public official. On that thread you made the comment, the OP was talking about the anti-corruption mantra of Buhari's campaigns where he promised several times to fight corruption among public office holders. |

airmark:The point stands, however little the number of innocent persons might be, the response to calls for the government to intercede on their behalf shouldn't be profiling of the entire Nigerian population in those countries. The Nigerians that commit crimes abroad have always been on their own, there's no case of the Nigerian government using their influence to upturn the fate of a Nigerian that was guilty of a crime abroad. The point being made was never about those that were guilty. |

Theflint1: Then why would the idiot reply Abike's tweet irresponsibly like a child from a broken home? Government have been stepping into cases of drug pushers convicted abroad since, it's high time we told our brothers to stop illegalities. If you move with bad gangs abroad, you are on your own. 1 Like

airmark:It has now become if you move with bad gang you're on your own ![]() ![]() ![]() I said the Nigerian government has not successfully used their influence to upturn the fate of a Nigerian guilty of drug trafficking, that's different from what you posted. What they're telling them to do is those that might be innocent, use your influence to look into their case, it's easier to do the latter than the former. |

Theflint1: Who are those innocent ones that you are really sure are innocent, that Nigeria have still not checked their cases? Well, nobody is saying Nigerians shouldn't complain to their leaders, but do it responsibly and not like that idiot that attacked Abike personally on her page. 4 Likes

May we never find ourselves in a position to be defending these same class of ruling elite that has sent this country backwards. I see that today we are now actively defending corrupt politicians simply because of partisanship. ![]() It is well. 2 Likes |

Demons here are now effectively saying we should stop criticizing our public officials.. The same people who have said the very worst things about public officials in the past. From calling someone's wife HIV awo to wishing another ones lineage be wiped out. To calling soludo a "nyash-licker". The same person and people are now advocating for people to stop condemning public officials. Deadly hypocrites! Let's pretend as if abike was an igbo or PDP person, these people will maintain this posture. 3 Likes

airmark:I said might be innocent. Social media has a lot of characters, including the rude and unruly...there's a saying that can be paraphrased as if a mad man looks for your trouble and in response you decide to stand and respond to their antics, instead of walking away knowing they're mad, we stop having one mad man, we now have two mad persons. Abike Dabiri should know better than to feed trolls, her failure to act accordingly is why people now question her sanity because she stopped to exchange words with a mad man. Her responding the way she did has not reduced the insults she face, instead it has multiplied. Elected and appointed officials will always be held to a higher standard than the average citizen, especially if your job is a PR-type job. Abike Dabiri has acted and continues to act unprofessionally, and your defending her from today till tomorrow will not change that fact. 1 Like |
