Algeria U17s 1-0 up thanks to their Captain and number 9, Moslem Anatouf. It wasn't all him though. He was ably assisted by a somali defender's back pass.

Anatouf intercepted it, skipped past the keeper and easy finish, goal.

2-0 to Algeria U17s. Their Captain and Number 9 again. Moslem Anatouf with his Brace. Watching him play you can easily tell he is Algeria's Main Talisman at this Afcon.

Dennis is way better than Ayew, I have no idea why the coach keeps putting Ayew on with Dennis on the bench. Maybe attitude issues again.

By their fruits you shall now them. IPOB fool! I do not need any facts from an idiot being easily manipulated by jobless bigots!
Your brain should tell you that a young player affliation will be first to his/her country of birth before anything else. They waiting on their country of birth is not synonymous with Nigeria alone. The problem is when your own countrymen spit on the country that gave them everything for cheap. Since my 4 decades on this earth I have never heard a Nigerian born and bred here refuse to honor the country's call. So keep your nonsensical opinion to your sorry ass!

I think your proposition lacks merit , it's misguided and it is essentially a nonsense.

You ask a question (the bold) that has no choices and therefore no answer,

But you assume that those who therefore decide to play for Nigeria which is the only choice they have. Are therefore tested and proven to be more loyal and patriotic to Nigeria.

Nigeria players born and brought up in Nigeria play for Nigeria, because it's the only choice they have. It's not loyalty or love of the nation. It's simply NO CHOICE.

If Nigerian origin players could change allegiance to another nation for instance, USA , Germany, Spain , France, etc . How many would be left wanting to play for Nigeria ā“ā“

You are ignorant , highly ignorant, you know absolutely nothing of Nigerian origin players born England. But your make huge assumptions.

From first hand participative experience. The reason we have very few Nigerian origin players from England in the SE. Is the lack of transparency, the NFF is not sincere and officials in the NFF are oncerned about cashing. Cashing in for themselves (EGUNJE) as opposed to getting the best players

If this write up make sense to you then I cannot help you. The French, Dutch, Switzerland, England, Sweden etc are made up of players from different African and Caribbean countries. It's all about where you are familiar with and the country that would advance one's career better.
Despite your supposed NFF corruption we have had and still have players born and bred outside the country determined to play for us. You are the ignorant one here!

Arabs also age cheat .

I was at a Tournament a few months ago in Portugal and an Egyptian club fielded over age players.

Yes Arabs have huge amounts of facial hair but they still age cheat.

Nonetheless, this player has very youthful looks but I will not say it's impossible for him to have manufactured his age .

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

South Sudan U17 National team Disqualified from AFCON U17 Algeria 2023 Due to Non-Eligibility of Five (5) Players After MRI Test.

The South Sudan Football Association regrets to announce that our team has been disqualified from the AFCON U17 Algeria 2023 due to the non-eligibility of five (5) players after the MRI test.

The MRI test was conducted on the 26th April 2023 to ensure that all players meet the age eligibility criteria set by the competition's regulations. Unfortunately, we received yesterday 28th April 2023 notification from CAF that five of our players did not pass the MRI test and were deemed ineligible to participate in the competition, Although two of the five players were part of the team which participated in the zonal qualifiers and passed the MRI eligibility in Ethiopia last September 2022.

We immediately wrote a complaint to CAF medical committee an official complaint against their decision attaching the MRI results we did in Juba , in accordance to Article 27.6 sub article (iii) of the U17 regulations. The complaint was rejected by the medical saying that their first and second readings remains the same.

We fully understand and respect the decision made by the competition's organizers, and we apologize to our fans, sponsors, and partners for any disappointment this may cause.

South Sudan Football Association would like to emphasize that we have always been committed to fair play and sportsmanship. We have taken all the necessary steps to ensure that all our players meet the eligibility criteria set by the competition's regulations. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, some of our players were unable to participate in the competition.

We would like to thank our fans, sponsors, and partners for their continued support, and we look forward to participating in future competitions. SSFA will conduct a press conference for more information about the team disqualifications.

Sincerely

Albino Kuek Deng

Senegal for another African Title? Time will tell

Senegal currently hold the Afcon, Beach Soccer Afcon, CHAN, and U20 Afcon Titles.

Would they add the U17 Afcon title to their collection? We shall see. It would be tough though. Nigeria, Mali and even Zambia would have something to say about that.

Senegal U17 kicks off their U17 Afcon Campaign today vs Congo before Our Golden Eaglets take to the pitch later today vs Zambia. Would be beamed live on Super Sports (Channel 209) and also on the CAF YT Channel.
