Sir, it cost money to buy domain and with my little ability, I have bought 6 without making any sales.
You just have 6 names.
How about people having 15 or 20 before making a sale..
Ok then tell me the names you are having?

This is a cry of a jobless Nigerian youth.

Not to rely on the normal 9-5 job which I have been seeking, I have learnt soft digital skills like Copywriting, Digital Marketing, Domain Flipping. But these are not generating revenue for me because I hardly have jobs to apply them. In the case of domain flipping, to make sale is not a child's play. I have used my little money to have a portfolio of 6 domains but sales are not coming even with aggressive outbounding.

May be coding would have been different but I can't afford a laptop.

I'm afraid of the situation! I'm afraid of the hunger and starvation!! I'm afraid of my future!!! I'm just afraid!!!!
Why not apply digital marketing to your skills so u can get clients

I'm not saying domain flipping is bad ooo but don't expect it sales in any moment soon. It's a matter of grace.

You can pack a $5 domain today and tomorrow and offer of $650 will come a week after. And sometimes in the next 6 months they wouldn't even price it let alone buying it.

I've account with namesilo and I packed few domains I'm expecting $4,890 if ceteris paribus...
Boss drop update for thread nah.
Na una wey no like to dey drop sales alert

Since u know these soft skills, why don't u make short tutorial videos, post on YouTube, monitize it and start making money from there?

I know at least 5 YouTubers who upload DIY videos and soft skill tutorial on YouTube who cash out like yahoo boys, don't dull bro

I am sorry to hear that you are going through a difficult time. It can be frustrating and scary to feel like you're not able to make progress towards your goals, especially when you've put in effort to learn new skills and try out different avenues.

It's important to remember that you are not alone in this. Many people in Nigeria and around the world are struggling to find work or make ends meet. It's not a reflection of your worth or ability, but rather a challenging circumstance that many are facing.

While it's understandable to feel afraid and uncertain about the future, it's important to try and stay positive and keep searching for opportunities. Consider reaching out to friends and family members for support or networking, or look into local resources or organizations that may be able to provide guidance or assistance.

In the meantime, continue to develop and refine your skills, and consider exploring new avenues or trying out different approaches to your current pursuits. Keep in mind that success often takes time and persistence, and setbacks or challenges are a normal part of the process.

Above all, remember to take care of yourself and prioritize your mental and physical health during this time. Seek out activities or hobbies that bring you joy and help you feel fulfilled, and stay connected with others who can provide encouragement and support.

Keep your head up and keep pushing forward - I believe in you!

I agree with you that to some extent I may not be doing everything right as they should. Like this very job is requiring the services of an expert copywriter and someone like you can actually tip me on certain things to do to secure this job. In copywriting, nobody knows it all.

Sell yourself on freelance site like Upwork, Fiverr.

When I say money is in copywriting, here's what I mean:

In the job post below the client need 5 Emails for $250.

Let's do rough calculation:

To bid this project it requires 6 connects.
Cost per connect is $0.15 cent.

$0.15 * 6 = $0.90 cent( less than $1)

So you use 0.90 cent to land a $250 job.

Upwork %charges, 10% of $250 =$225

Total: $250 - $0.90 - $25 = $225

You'll be getting $225 profit.

$225 x 755 Naira = 170,000 Naira.

Just one job.

This is why I said Upwork is a gold mine

Please are you on upwork as a Nigerian or a foreigner?

I'm asking because I have learned this copywriting from more than one place and one of the places taught me to disguise and operate as a US or UK citizen when I am here in Nigeria.

Op should pick one skill and stick to it. I ventured into synthetic indices in 2021 after NYSC. Initially, I was loosing money and wanted to quit, but I persevered. Today, I've become a profitable trader as I consistently withdraw $150 every month to complement my teaching job salary.

Honestly domain flipping is not something you jump into with your last card or money that may have emergency need. Otherwise, you will so hate the decision when you cannot seal a deal after a long period.
