This same judgement was used against APC in Zamfara, Rivers and Bayelsa in the past. They didn't follow the deadline rules and were disqualified.

Many of us said this about GRVs candidacy in Lagos. There is plenty precedent. Worse is Ur party chairman has already been indicted for forging court documents to bring in all these candidates after deadline.

Labour Party leadership crisis will swallow all their elected candidates. I forsee this long time ago but the children that started following politics just last year never stop abusing their elders.

Even according to LP constitution, Abure (general secretary) can only be the chairman unless Apapa and other vice chairmen said in writing that they doesn't want or in case of their demise and they must all die at a time.

I joined LP in 2009 as an undergraduate and I'm the secretary of my ward. In Ibadan North L.G. then, we were less than 20 and we do have our local government meeting in a sitting room. We grew the party from nothing till we started having governorship candidates in 2011.
Today, the party has been hijacked by some scavengers.

The Court in Suit No FHC/KN/CS/107/2023 filed by Mr Ibrahim Haruna Ibrahim against the Labour Party and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, ruled that the failure of the Labour Party to submit its membership register to the INEC within 30 days before their primaries renders the process invalid.

“The party that has not complied with the provisions of the electoral act cannot be said to have candidate in an election and cannot be declared winner of an election; this being so, the votes credited to the 1st defendant is a wasted vote,” the Judge ruled.

With this judgement, Lp has no presidential candidate in the last elections as Obi is also in same shoes with Alex Otti..
