A husband, who anonymously reached out to Twitter user @jon_d_doe, shared his concerns about his wife’s dissatisfaction with his financial contributions to their family.

He expressed his frustration over his wife’s criticism, claiming that she views him as stingy despite his efforts.

According to the man, he earns a monthly salary of N75,000. Out of this amount, he allocates N30,000 for household expenses, specifically for food, as they have three children. Additionally, he covers the school fees for their children, which amount to approximately N90,000 per academic term. He also takes care of transportation expenses and some domestic bills.

75k salary is nothing in today's Nigeria. If she's not lazy and entitled like some girls today, she should go out there and work so that she can assist her husband in supporting the home.

omo that is what my elder sisters husband gives her for feeding alone and he doesn't stay with them and just 2 children. Before I marry I must be well to do.

Na social status dey make us feel say it's made for househelps meanwhile, they have qualified and quantitfied teachers unlike many private school that cannot afford to employ enough teachers talk more on university graduates

I was discussing this issue with one of my colleagues.....I pointed out that our choice for private schools over Government schools for our children is a matter of class, comfort and safety.......not quality per say......

Most private school teachers are in for survival and always looking out for better jobs.......you can't compare such teacher's teaching capabilities to that of a career teachers in Government school..........

If not for the rigor of getting admission in Federal Government colleges, Military schools, missionary schools; majority of Nigeria parents prefer them to privately owned schools where they pay exorbitant fees.....besides, many parents still encourages their wards to attempt entrance exams in these Government schools before opting out for Private schools.....

That been said, those of us that attended public schools still out performed majority of those from the privately owned schools at the University.......come to think of it, what has change in the Nigeria labour market since the businessmen dominated the primary and secondary school education sector ? What have the graduates of these schools invented ?

The only noticeable impacts is the intense competition at the labour market......teenage graduates are now able to apply for jobs.

Nigerians from public schools are performing well in foreign school academically......

I'm not even married yet, I earn between 80 -100k each month. I work from home, I hardly buy food these days since im staying with an aunt atm. Just maybe data, drinks and chills. And this money no d do me.

If my wife ever sees or thinks that a 40-60 share is stingy. I'll just give her the silent treatment. Bcus I no go get energy explain.
