Why would you send an army because of civil disobedience?

Killing someone for trying to earn bread on a day of the week is not civil disobedience

Telling an Igbo man he can't earn bread on a certain working day is the most anti-Igbo thing I can think of

Well, some of us think its unreasosnable to grant amnesty to terrorists who killed innocent citizens, burn their villages and kidnap their children for ransome and for forceful marriage.

We thought it was unreasonable then and we still think it is till date.

Touché.

Despite all these ramblings, SE has been largely less insecure.

Which makes IPOB less of a terrorist group compared to herdsmen and bandits yet to be proscribed.

What the SE needs is federal presence not army. Those obeying Simon Ekpa are doing so because of the dream of a better life in an imaginary Biafra. With more federal presence in terms of economic development, no body will listen to Simon or even Kanu.

Bring economic development to SE. Send the army to the north instead if they need combat.
What is this?

Let me remind you that Governor Hope Uzodinma is a proud member of the APC. Governor Hope is also a strong ally and loyalist to Asiwaju.

Since both factors have become more important that the lives and properties of citizens of an entire region.

This is a sitting Governor publicly admitting this problem is beyond what they can control and begging for help but we should continue to indemnify the presidency because we want to protect Asiwaju’s image.

Exactly GEJ cannot exonerate himself from BokoHaram like his NSA said
Andrew Azazi, a friend of Jonathan, a former GOC, COAS, CDS and NSA. A PDP card-carrying member made an accusation against his own party. GEJ fired him - his friend - rather than investigate what he was saying.

Remember, Andrew accused his party of sponsoring BH. He did not accuse GEJ. Yet GEJ fired him.

I know who let BH fester. Anybody who does not know will never know.

As long as we call it Sit At Home, it is civil disobedience. I hope we are rational here.

Good. So let the security agencies go after those people forcing people to sit at home against their wish. We have police, DSS and civil defence. We don't want military. SE is not at war with the FG. Let the DSS do their investigation and arrest and kill those people even. But don't send army.

SE is less insecure compared to most other regions. In fact SE is among the most secure regions in Nigeria as at today.

If FG send the army many innocent people will die and the level of insecurity will increase. The army will set up road blocks that will kill economic activities. In turn they will be resisted by the people and that's when you will see the real insecurity.

Instead of army send economic development and see if the people of SE will not catch IPOB members for you.

It is Buhari that you have to make accountable for making NK a hero. ObJ ignored him, GEJ ignored him. Buhari made him a hero. Now people have died fighting both for and against him.

The best way to handle miscreants is to not give them attention. Buhari gave him attention and now he's looking like Mandela.

Roland17 this is the type of message that we will hear once President decides to send in the military like you want

According to this poster who lives in the SE, the region is secure enough compared to elsewhere in Nigeria

Let President concentrate on other serious areas and ignore the minor civil disobedience in the SE

I don't live in the SE, you don't live there currently neither does izzou. Some of those who live there have either said the SE is secure and all is a skit

Let govt focus elsewhere

Instead of Roland to face Spy and come to an understanding, he is tackling those who said Tinubu should ensure local support before bringing in the army.
You can't leave the people that said Tinubu should not use army at all, as everywhere is secure and be attacking those that said he should use army after getting local support to curb the insecurity.

It is like the people of the SE are not interested in telling one another the hard truth. That is why Pitobi and the governors are sidestepping the crux of the matter like Neymar.

.....fact! They ain't ready yet. See the nonsense DonJ wrote yesterday to defend gibberish written by their purported Lord and Saviour?

They apparently ain't ready to speak truth to their selves, and seem only those who ain't in the Region care for the Region. Izzou, Jazz, Roland want Boots on ground to stampout the menace once and for all but honorable Spy is saying everywhere is calma calma.

Funnily, Dude is proffering solution that is laughable based on what we are seeing online. He said if FG deploy Army, it will kill economic activities in the Region, I never know Sit-At-Home, so called civil disobedience, is actually boosting the socio-economic activities of the Region.

Going by what reno posted here, and your hard nosed focus on the financial numbers mein, does the FG lose anything by unlooking? Especially as letter writers like chieftainess Chimamanda, town criers like p square, bribe taking old men like Charly boy and other easterners of timber and stature are silent?

Ironically this is the same thing that happened during the reign of osisikanu and the kidnapping scourge. Everyone stayed put outside of home and unlooked.

Now we have of all people serial criminal ifeanyi ubah looking like the only one who is ready to make a difference.

It’s definitely IPOB .

We’ve seen IPOB terrorists arrested live on camera confirming they are IPOB members and ESN responsible for killings in the east , yet he still thinks IPOB is not the problem . He calls sit-at-home civil disobedience and chooses to shy away from IPOB/ESN beheading people and flogging elderly Folks on camera.

He’s no better than Femi Adeshina telling us Buhari has done reasonably well on the overall .

Exactly. It's a political solution that is required. The SE feels alienated from the centre. Create a sense of belonging and see if youths won't hand over the traitors by themselves.
