Government would have borrowed money from IMF to cushion the effects of subsidy removal, but if we don't want to borrow, where then can the government raise funds if not through local taxation.

Subsidy removal is just 2 months, how much have we been able to save?

The palliative funds that FG is planning would be distributed by states yet the registered people in state lists are questionable which must be rectified. Abi seh una want make the money go to the wrong hands as usual.

It seems some of you have not been following global events, in Kenya, more than 50 protesters have been killed, that's Kenya that their policemen are sill civil than ours.

The planned/proposed protest, what effects would it bring/change, you guys would be on street for days and government will apply placebo effects to claim they have heard you which any protest after would be met with security officers.

Why should we be running around the circle, there is nothing like peaceful protest where blacks are involved. BLM in America failed, we all saw what happened in France some weeks ago, how much more disorganized Nigeria .

Don't be used as a shooting practice by some of our unprofessional officers, make your protest peacefully online.

This is one the greatest enemy of the country, he is happy when people suffer and covertly rejoice and wslish more on the people.. Karma shall find you zoo and you and your families shall suffer the same fate you always wish Nigerians.. What an animal for a human...

If federal government can remove fuel subsidy on the day of inauguration and float the Naira just days later but can't seem to do as little as increasing minimum wage 2 months later then they have no excuse, the people are hungry, should they wait till forever before the government will do something about this inflation and rising cost?

This is sad, coming from a Nigerian! You don't want people to protest but you want them to keep calm and hope for a miracle? Our complacence is a curse...let's shun the "e go better" attitude and stop pretending like all is well!

Why shouldn't they protest?
It's a free world.
They are free to protest on the condition that they do it in their villages/states.

You can't enter night bus to another man's land to forment trouble whilst pretending your state/region is not affected by what you are protesting against.

A case in point is d Edo protest: they borrowed themselves brain by limiting their protest to Edo state. You shouldn't leave anambala state and say na lagos/kano u want to engage your protest.

If protest is 'hungrying' u, go and do it in ur state/region. Shikena

You need to realize that majority of those at the forefront of this protests are d selfacclaimed 'billionares' who daily taunt others that they aren't affected by d govt. policies. They are doing it for sinister purposes.

Whoever wants to protest can do so in their regions. Izit not funny that those who keep quiet at the forced sit at home in their backyards and refused to protest against ipob/ESN/ugm are the same clowns at the forefront of the intended protests!

They are looking for opportunities to cause mayhem.

If anyone wants to protest, let him start from home.

@ emboldened,Why should they use that to distract the government? How about paralyzing the unhealthy economy with the protest.

Of what gain or purpose would the protest be when some of the protesters already have motives different from protesting

Nobody should take the OP serious. This is someone that supported all Buhari policies. Always standing with politicians.
I doubt if he's a Nigerian? I see him as someone using nairaland to catch cruise. He just intentionally post annoying things just to get people ban.

If he can just get his funds confiscated in the US without criminal charges and has been visiting the place ever since without being arrested, are you insinuating that the US is not a saner clime you want us to believe it is?

Or are they scared of him?

Is he greater than them?

Has he bribed them too?

Use your head, Obi lost and he himself never disputed that fact.

Provide alternative solution without protest.

Would you have supported protest had your candidate won the election, be sincere

He's entitled to his opinion just like you.

Are you that bittered or jobless to be stalking someone for years?

What happens to taking the message and leaving the messenger or simply ignoring if it made no sense to you?

Or simply counter his opinion with superior facts ?

Obi has damaged some people perpetually, really.

Some of them are still thinking their actions is about being in opposition, No they are behaving like enemies of the nation, na them dey complain of hardship yet they still want to paralyze the economy with protest?

Which kind whiching be that?

this fool again? Government collect money from you then borrow 800million dollars to share to their relatives as palliative. Can't you use your brain?
The government says the subsidy money goes to big men pocket. Who are those big men? Why can't them be arrested instead of surfering the poor.
