Newbie123: First, the N6M is already a red flag - unless it was from the sale of an asset or bulk allowance from his employer. Letter from employer carries little weight but it's okay to have it. The letter should state start date of employment, annual salary and other allowances Three months POF is neither here or there. I've done one month, four months, six months. If that is what he has, he can submit three months. The important thing is to prove that he will not be a liability to the British Government and he will come back to Nigeria. 1 Like |

UPDATE!!! The 6 months visa was crossed off and a new one was issued which will expire Sept 2033. Ii am so thankful to God and I also want to thank everyone here for all their inputs , it helped me a great deal when applying for my visa . Standard visitors Visa Biometrics - 5th July Collection mail- 13th July Passport collected - 17th July Passport retuned - 17th July ( cos of the 6 months validity) Collection call - 19th July Passport pick up- 1st August I didn't go and collect immediately I received the call because I was not in town and I also didn't think it was changed because i felt it was too soon for it to be approved or corrected . I was already planning to send a complaint mail today as someone here had advised with the hope that something else could still be done if escalated . I am so grateful to God as it would have been too painful to lose so much money . Thanks again and God bless you all. uote author=puffmama post=124475647]Good afternoon , please is anyone familiar with this issue ? I applied for a 10 yrs visa and by the time I got my passport it was 6 months visa on it . Has anyone seen such errors ? Will it be fixed ? That's a whole lot of money to go down the drain [/quote] |

Hello Please I need help house, I just want to start processing my leave for UK. So am starting with getting proficiency letter from my university and then sending it to ecctics for conversion. But the issue is that my school will be sending the proficiency letter directly to ecctics themselves and I don't have ecctics address I can give them. I also tried registering on ecctics but it is saying invalid email. Am just fed up. Please I need help with my applications |

I am a masters student in the UK. I started my program in September 2022 and it will end may 2024, but my visa is for two years till september 2024. i applied for my 10 year old son as a dependant. He was granted visa, but couldn't come to the UK due to circumstances beyond our control. I want to apply for his vignette stamping again since the 90 days has expired. I also want to apply for tourist visa for my 19 years old daughter who is in final year in a Nigerian university at the moment, to come and visit. That is for both of them to come together. I seek advise on the following; 1. How much POF do i need for both of them and for how long? 2. what can i use to support the application? Thank you for any advice will be appreciated |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by puffmama: 7:57pm On Aug 01, 2023 |
I can only answer part of your number 2 question You can ask your daughter to get a letter of introduction from her school and you can also attach recent school fees receipts , this will show ties that she won't abandon her studies Denov: 1 Like |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by puffmama: 8:21pm On Aug 01, 2023 |
When are you uploading your documents ? As long as it's within 31 days after it was printed you are good to go, if not you may have to ask him for another . quote author=mekanta7 post=124814874]Please I want to submit my visa application, and my sponsors account statement was printed since 17th July, i was outside of the country then. Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Blessedsteph: 11:23pm On Aug 01, 2023 |
Credit of over 4million Naira over the period of 2 months is where I see the problem. You padded her account for visa purposes. Unexplained credits into her account. Also Since your husband is the sponsor, you could have just said she’s spending £1 towards the trip rather than £60. I also think it’s not wise saying your husband will sponsor her with £2500 out of his £4000 Sounds questionable honestly. My advice is that you wait another 6months and reapply. Within that period, ensure that no huge money goes into her salary account. Also try to withdraw a certain amount monthly as upkeep. You can say your husband is sponsoring with £1500 (I assume she will stay with you so accommodation is out of it). Others will advise better. This na my 1cent. All the best and don’t cry again dear Momoftwins: 1 Like |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Cashmadam: 12:08am On Aug 02, 2023 |
Momoftwins: I'm so sorry this happened. I can totally understand how you feel. Please calm down. It appears the ECO disregarded your husband's offer to sponsor your mum and focused on her own financial situation. The main problem appears to be from the inflow into her account over a very short period. It is defintely a red flag. Much as they claim an earlier refusal does not influence their decisions, in reality, it does. The scrutiny is more and they are usually more concerned about the applicant's ability to fund the trip. Also, your husband's pledge to sponsor the trip with 2,500 out of 4,000 saving is a red flag - although it was not explicitly stated. It really appears suspicious that a son-in-law will save 4,000 and spend 2,500 to sponsor his Mother-in-law on a 2 weeks trip. To be honest, your Mum doesn't need 2,500 if accomodation and feeding are provided. Max 1,800. Most of that will be for her ticket. My advise - your mum needs to build her account over some months and you should also build your savings (I assume you are working). Next time, co-sponsor her - ensure she has substantial savings to contribute to the trip. Let's assume she saves about N100K a month. In a year, she has N1.2million. That is roughly 1,200 Pounds. You can support her with the balance. It might take her a year or more before she can reapply. Let us know if you need help when she's ready to reapply. 2 Likes |

Denov: Let's leave out POF for now. Your daughter might not be allowed to travel to the UK with your son. Secondly, they might be suspicious about your daughter so you need to prove that she will not abandon her studies in Nigeria and stay in the UK. As an adult, they will pay more attention to her application so ensure you fill her form carefully and provide documents to prove that she is not interested in staying in the UK. You may provide her results and perharps evidence of tuition fees paid for the next session. It's a 50/50 so good luck! 1 Like |

Cashmadam:the 19 year old’s visit visa getting granted will be a very difficult task. I cosign. @denov As for your son, since he has had the visa before but didn’t use it then apply for a replacement visa vignette . Arrange pof same way you did for previous application. |

thank you so much .i appreciate your response, there was no lump sum payment between the 2 months starting balance started with 3m plus there is a document for sales of asset but i didnt attached since the lump sum wasnt reflecting i also wrote an explicit cover letter showing home ties and attaching pictures of her with her other children and grandchildren , also explaining her employment ties and that she is also processing the letter of administration of her late husband. so she needs to be physically available. the upkeep you mean she should withdraw from her salary account with narration 'upkeep' ? Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by hunee: 3:47am On Aug 02, 2023 |
If you apply for visas frequently , have a separate account for visa purpose. I always talk about this here. Of all the things that disqualify applicants for Uk visas, the income and expenditure aspect. Take it into consideration, and regularilise your accounts else you keep going in cirles. betterstill maintain the frequency of payments. Sorry about your refusal. Just take your time and work on it. technically writing. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 4:26am On Aug 02, 2023 |
@momoftwins sorrrrrrrry. if there was a sale of asset then there should be a documentation backing it up. Also cover letter is what you say versus what another one says. The true picture is determined by your production of documentary evidence to back up all your claims. Pls listen to all others have written. If I go into it, it’ll be like repetition With 2 previous UK refusals I would not put in a priority visa application. |

giselle237:Thank you. I’ll try and prove that she’s coming back, because of course she has to complete her studies as she is in her final year already . I don’t even understand these uk immigration. Is there any person that will want to come as a tourist and not return? I don’t get it. UK is not sweet to live in if You come as a tourist as remain because you can’t work. 1 Like |

Denov:A lot of people have come in and refused to go back. I mean a lottttttt. Once you enter, claim asylum straight is the mantra. As long as govt takes time to decide their case, u are allowed so many things while waiting and so thats why this route is been abused. If govt takes 3 years to decide if u are telling lies or not, in that 3 years they get hotel, stipends and start birthing children that get free school, medical treatment etc After 7 years of d children, they go onto apply for ilr for the children, then use d children to regularise their own stay. Or those that go to find one citizen and enter relationship or marriage to regularise stay. It’s a very long conversation if we start. 2 Likes |
