Super falcons are ranked 32 in the latest fifa women's ranking.Sweden,Spain and USA occupy the 1st 2nd and 3rd position. What are the likes of Italy, china,Argentina, new Zealand doing at the top 30.They have no business there.

Drama is happening in Spain right now. The Spanish Federation called a press conference and the president of the federation, Luis Rubiales was supposed to announce his resignation because he kissed Jenni Hermoso, but right now at the conference he is shouting that he is not resigning. He said that Jenni lifted him up a bit and he asked her if it was OK and she said OK. |

It's a very weird press conference. Some are clapping, but it looks like others wish they were not there. https://twitter.com/candelagarcia03/status/1695029352017142003 |

They can't just remove them , Nigeria need to play more friendly games and get points to move up the ranking kheny12: |

naptu2: Two more things: 1.) Rubiales also said “did you really think a peck was going to make me leave?” 🤮 2.) He just offered Jorge Vilda a 4-year contract extension worth €500,000 per year. |

naptu2: He can only do this for 3 reasons 1. He's telling the truth and has assurances Jenni will back his story. 2. He has the board vote to keep in in office. The ideal thing right now is that the Spanish federation board will meet and a vote for his removal would be called. He's pretty sure he's got the votes to stay in office. 3. He's crazy. |

kheny12: Rankings are determined by points earned. While one might have issues with the methodology used !I do), the science behind it isn't hidden. Any FA that hopes to rise through the ranks knows what to do to garner points. For Nigeria, we shouldn't just play friendlies anyhow, we should be particular about how we chose. Play teams that helps the overall preparation of your squad while at the same time add points to your rankings. For now we should play teams ranked higher than us we can also easily beat. All of the qualifier games we have the remaining part of the year won't add much to us as we will be playing teams ranked significantly lower than we are. These are top 20 teams I believe we can easily beat, we should make.plans to play. Denmark Iceland China Austria Italy Portugal South Korea Switzerland Belgium 1 Like |

naptu2: "After the Extraordinary Assembly of the RFEF held this Friday, it seems that the explanations given by the President of the Federation, Mr. Rubiales, have been sufficient for the members present of the Assembly who had the power to ratify him in office." Exactly like I predicted. He's done the roll call and sees he has the vote to keep him in office. It's why institutions like Barcelona are making it clear they aren't one of the numbers while acknowledging he's gotten a pass from other members. The only way he'll get kicked out of office is if members are pressured to change their position. Tweet like that of Alexia will go a long way. If more influential persons especially in the men's team follow suit, then he's toast. |

People are criticising Barcelona for the statement above. They say it's too weak. They compare it to Espanyol's statement which demands the resignation of the FA president and mentions Jenni Hermoso by name. Espanyol's statement. daveP: Hmm but Mercy IDOKO is an Attacker while Sulola is a Central Midfielder.. Good turns and great vision coupled with her passing games is what set her aside but again she likes to dribble and idolizes Kevin De Bruyne 1 Like |

lovewins: Exactly what I anticipated will happen. Borja Iglesias and Iker Casillas speaking up is just the beginning. Many more will likely speak up and board members will be pressured to change position. He was dumb not to resign.

Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by naptu2: 4:00pm On Aug 25, 2023 |
lovewins: Virtually every Barcelona player tweeted support for Jenni immediately afterwards, then players of other clubs, even Pachuca, then it went worldwide. The pressure is too great, I'll be surprised if he doesn't resign. Many clubs have released statements to demand that he resigns. |
Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 4:07pm On Aug 25, 2023 |
naptu2: The only reason he didn't resign is cause the gor the backing of the board. It's that simple. Cause the board has the power to remove him if he doesn't. Now he either resigns or the board is pressured to remove him. |

daveP: Lol 😂 Anyway I would like someone like her in our Central Midfield role, someone who combines ball winning, passing and creativity all together… Again she’s pretty there with a lot of Physicality and good aerial presence. Again let’s see more of what she would bring to the Midfield at Valencia first 3 Likes

naptu2:My Comrade Two people may shared a kiss but how you go do that on the grand stage? I don't support harassment but inasmuch but if both party are cool with it, no wahala. The only problem is that if it happened in a formal setting which to me is wrong. I really don't want to think these guys at the helm are finding ways to put their 'partners' in the squad. |
