Canadian embassy is very strict, giving out visa now, I don't know what their government are up to.

Years back even with good travel histories, they bounce people anyhow.

They might go to default mode anytime soon.
Better decide for the better now.

Canadian visa is one of the most difficult visa to get.

A colleague is just telling me how he renewed his passport prior to applying .
His passport was to expire like two years to come .
He renewed it and got 10 years Canada Visitor Visa on the new passport.

I am not happy at all that I'm getting just 9 months Visa on my passport.
I should have gone for the renewal.

Again let me ask the gurus here,

If I make the trip and come back ( planning to go to Canada on the 4th and to come back on the 12th October),
Do I have a better chance of approval when I apply next year?

I applied for visitor visa on the 23 of feb 2023 and I was approved and sent ppr on the 1st of June without bvl. I submitted my passport on the 7th of June so I’m waiting for courier to return it with my visa.

During my application, I did not apply for my kids thinking they will be granted visa under my application. It was after mine was approved that we got to know that we have to apply for the kids separately which I did on the 6th of June.

My question now is this: how long before they approve their own application?
Also, how long before my passport is returned to me.

Since you already paid you can as well do it if they send you a biometrics collection letter because it may affect the validity of your visa .
Even if you have a new 10 yrs passport ., They will only give you a visa that's valid for 2 yrs because your biometrics will expire in 2025.

You need a USA transit visa for this flight route.
Abort mission.

Go for flight with one stop in any European country

Is it possible for someone to know if agent truly applied a visa for him,

A friend shared his story with me that last 4 years one agent applied a visitor visa for him, that he went to VSF office but wasn't do biometrics or capturing. I asked him how that possible?

He said he submitted his passport, but what I'm convinced about is that he was issued a teller stated visa and biometrics fees and reference with tracking number.

But he said that he didn't do any biometrics or capturing at that time, after some days his passport was sent back to him in Osun state.

Now my question is that how can we check if his having any information with IRCC or if the agent truly applied a visa for him at that time?

In 2019 Canada as started doing biometrics and capturing right? Even if he go through paper submission right?
