If you want to truly see how sweetness is, simply throw some pieces into charcoal burner that has been used to process palm oil. Leave it for 15 to 20mins and hurl them out. Then use knife to peel off the flesh and add salt into your new Igbo red oil. Cut it into the oil and give it 20seconds to relax, then start masticating. You will always live to remember the day forever

Ha this is esuru o,it can take 4 hours to cook. I remember then when my grandma comes visiting or my mom goes to the village. She will come with a full sack and cook a pot on Saturday morning, to be eaten with palm oil.....I dislike the taste

It's like your own Yoruba is different from the regular one.

What I know sweet potatoes are called in Yoruba is odukun.

The love I have for three leaf yam is unquantifiable...

It is called Esuru in some dialect ,I hate this nonsense yam until my mum made me to enjoy one.

According to a friend of mine from South, he claimed that once you give him Anem then half of his problems are solved..

I can dash you my phone for a portion of this because of it sweetness but it's been years I ate it.

I really miss home .
What do you call it in your dialect ? Do you enjoy eating it too?
Esuru

Pls what's the English name, it seems like cocoyam,

conflicting names flying here, some said sweet potato others said its not

It's a traditional food, so I don't think it has a particular English name.
It closely resembles a yam though.
