Only US, Isreal and 12 other countries, mostly tiny weak Island countries; Austria, Croatia, Czechia, Fiji, Guatemala, Hungary, the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay and Tonga , voted against the adoption of the resolution and they lost woefully!

This is a testament to the seriously diminished power and influence of the United States on global politics on this Palestinian-Israel war.

Even the E.U , Canada and UK didn't vote against the resolution. China, Russia, Jordan, Iran, Pakistan, the Arab League, Turkiye, Ireland, South Africa and Nigeria tried too. It was a momentous event that the world stood together significantly for the Palestinian people.

Sincerely, Humanity won. Over 3000 Palestinian children killed yet Hamas keeps fighting and firing rockets into Israel, giving credence to the report that Israel is actually killing mostly civilians and children.

If Isreal, with all its military power and backing of US and UK , has been fighting a small group of Hamas fighters for weeks now yet the death toll of children and civilians in Gaza keep mounting and Hamas Rockets firings into Israel have not stopped, so who is Isreal deceiving? Who is Isreal been killing for the past few weeks of bombing Gaza? Hamas still fired a lot of rockets into Southern Israel few hours ago!

If after this resolution, Isreal continues the bombing, there will be very serious and severe consequences against Israel. I pray it doesn't get to that. Check my signature for free stuffs!

General assembly vote doesn't mean shit, that's why UK and Russia vote yes to ceasefire

Few days ago, Russia voted no to ceasefire and UK also voted no and abstain in another resolution.

Nobody should preach morals to Israel.

US lost big time and China showed them shege.

It seems you don't know that this resolution is a license for nations to start sanctioning Isreal and giving more support to Hamas. Isreal is a small country of less than 10m , it's not a big country like Russia or China, Iran, Egypt, Nigeria, SA, Turkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Australia, EU, UK, India, France, Germany, Saudi Arabia etc with huge population, huge land mass and rich natural resources deposits .

Sanctions can actually break and weaken Israel. Isreal needs this vital peace and international goodwill the US failed to get it.

please shut up already, you are talking like though you are woke with international politics but you know nothing. Even Aljazeera said the UN resolution is not binding as only the UNDC have that power to stop the bombing but US is there to veto the security Council resolution. This exercise is just a moral exercise and nothing more, it holds no water and yes this isn't the first time the UN is passing a resolution on Israel/Palestine issue but Israel always fail to adhere to any.

Problem with this resolution is that even if all members voted in favour or against, it's not binding so either Hamas or Israel can ignore it if they want to.

Don't use only even US is involved, the UN general assembly is a toothles bulldog when US is concerned.

After the general assembly resolution on Ukrainian war did it stop Russian invasive of Ukraine? Ask your self that question, the only bulldog in UN is UNSC.

Lol. This is not the first time the US has been mostly alone when it comes to issues in the UN. This vote will not change the situation on ground. Gaza will continue to be bombarded until all the terrorists go get their 72 virgins in heaven. Most of these votes in the UN do not translate to reality on ground.

This is the UN vote calling on Russia to stop it's war on Ukraine. 140 countries joined the US to pass a vote in support of the motion. Since this vote, Russia has carried more attacks on Ukraine.

There is no month that passesby that Palestinians don't attack and kill an Israeli, go do more research and you will find out especially on the West Bank axis of Palestine. I've listened to many open minded Palestinians praise Israel on how they treat Palestinians far better than hamas

In the meantime, try to visit Russia, China, Iran, North Korea when you travel out of the country and open your mouth there to spill trash if you will live to tell the story.

The most powerful country in the world today is the US. The only country who has the economic and military might to push it's interest. If you think they will consider your line of thought before they do what they think is best for them and their allies, then you must be a joker.

You seems to be clueless how international politics works in the UN,
This resolutions are mere formality they hold no water, only resolutions by the UN security council holds water, nothing else.
The USA never told isreal ti stop bombardment
In fact the USA defence sec Austin even said a ceasefire will benefit hamas and they will use it to regroup,
USA donate aids for the civilians in Gaza, and isreal control's the border, and if you are following the news they are tons of aid in the Egypt border of Gaza waiting to enter Israel.
Isreal only allows what he feels Gaza needs.

Tell am, the Israeli ambassador to UN was even telling the secretary to resign or apologize for sympathizing with terrorist.

His speech alone shows they don't care about any vote, in the end all the country voting won't be there when Hamas start firing rockets into Israel.

You know nothing, this is not a win for China or Russia and this is not a sign of US loosing influence or humiliating for US. It happens almost every year. This was better than the one about four years ago when US got only 4 vote
When it comes to the issue of ceasefire in Israel ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ and Palestine. The US and Israel always loose support.
This is not the first time and this won't be the last.
This resolution won't change anything on the ground.
Behind the scenes most Arabs country wants to make peace with Israel but they are afraid of Radical Islamist terrorists.

By the way sanctions no longer work.
Arabs countries are paper tiger, they can only bark.
If a war break out, the US and European military power will always support Israel against Islamist terrorist Arabs countries.
The likes of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan will abstain because they know the consequences.
