It is good that the loan is from Africa EXIM bank and not from commercial banks.
This is good news for the company and will definitely help boost Oando's performance.
The only thing that remains is peaceful environment in the Niger Delta for smooth operations

You can't win insiders in their game, if they want to delist and minority investors frustrate the plan the minority investors will lose at the end of the day.

The best thing is to invest in shareholders centric businesses

The SEC holds the ace in this. If the SEC decides to implement the rules as is, there is nothing Wale and his gang could do. Wale himself confessed that the SEC forced Oando to pay about $600m to some former shareholders contrary to Oando's management opinion on the matter.

As for peace in the Niger Delta, this current government is better than the former when it comes to negotiations. We just pray Oando don't delist

I still recall that how OANDO will raise money to finance the ENI transaction was discussed here.
Either by rights issue or more borrowings. OANDO has now borrowed.
During the 44th AGM, Wale told shareholders that sales proceeds from sale of OANDO retail outlets to NNPCL was used to significantly pay down the huge outstanding obligations/borrowing.
With this loan from AFREXIM, OANDO loan balance building up again.
However, it is a good borrowing in my opinion considering the fact it's coming from Afrexim Bank and also the deal for which the borrowing is meant for is profitable both in the short and long term.
Additionally, Since OANDO revenue is now majorly in foreign currency, the repayment will need no Naira conversion to foreign currency before repayment. This mitigates the risk of FX losses due foreign currency borrowings/obligations.

These are just my thoughts

You are perfectly right.
This loan would ease off pressure on Oando but they need to achieve and sustain reasonable level of production.
The dynamics are beginning to change gradually, and I hope the SEC would stamp its authority if Oando management decides to go ahead with the delisting because I saw in the last AGM that they are cancelling the unissued authorized shares of the company, which looks like an indication of the intention to delist the whole shares of the company from the NGX eventually.

Share reconstruction was done last year or in 2021, can't remember well now.

- 4.26bn OS was reconstructed and around 3.84Bn was cancelled.....in ratio 10:1
We were discussing it here that time nah, when it was trading at 20/23kobo or so.
Some NSEMPAS may still remember...
@Nigerialabalaba even pointed it out long before now self.
We'll keep watching out for Q4 result anyway.

Eroded value. Imagine someone that bought the share from you then hoping for bumper harvest all to see himself begging to recoup his capital after 10yrs. Oando has no business to delist less than #50 cause the pains and eroded value it caused it's shell holders. grin grin grin

Good morning sir.

Please I want to enquire about other mutual funds such as the Balance Fund and Equity Fund which are both over 30%. I know the specific details about these funds, but what I need to know is if there are hidden charges because it seems a very juicy offer when compared to Money Market Fund which is just about 9%.

I anticipate your feedback sir, and any other person who can assist in providing the required clarification.

Thank you very much for your time
