Good evening house, I have been following this thread for a while now and from what I have read and understood, I sent my application 2wks ago.

My refusal email was sent yesterday, with my understanding, 2 month disposable income is sufficient for my travel plans and I don’t was careful not to spend more than that, I will appreciate your advice on how I can put a proper application in and when I can reapply again.

Thanks

My honest input
1. the first paragraph i believe is a mistake form the deciding officer, because the information you provided as regards your monthly salary was different from what he/she quoted in the response.
2. Did you show a breakdown of how you want to spend the 1.1M naira with proof ? like cost of air ticket (dummy booking with cost), hotel booking (also with cost), budget for transport, feeding and miscellaneous
If you did all these and you are sure that the info you gave about your monthly salary is correct and can be backed up in your statement of account (as the officer did not complain about your bank statement), then your can apply for appeal on the claim that there was an error from the visa officer

Good day everyone. Please I would like to get clarification on this. I have been in the UK for 5months now as the main applicant on a healthcare visa. I want to apply for my husband and children to join me in the UK. My questions are as follows;
1. Do I need to show proof of fund if maintenance was ticked for me in my COS? Bear in mind that I didn't provide POF when I did my application and I have been in the UK for five months.
2. If they will need POF will it be appropriate to use my husband's bank statement?
Your input will be highly appreciated. Thank you.
if maintenance is ticked, you do not need to show POF.
Apply for them using your expired COS.

Yes they may check. I was asked to show return ticket, after the border officer asked how long I was staying(I told him).
So just stick to what's on your actual return ticket, even though your application has a different date. Circumstances may have changed, so dates my move.

Thanks boss

Sorry about the refusal.

My thoughts;

1. No savings - red flag

2. 4 days - another red flag. While the duration of your stay should not be too long, it should also not be too short. Why spend so much on 4 days trip? Is it really worth it?

3. N1.1m is not adequate for one day trip - not to talk of 4 days. Ticket alone to the UK is at least N1.4M these days. Another red flag.

You have to tidy up a lot of things. Take your time and don't rush to reapply.

Just say na Japa you wan Japa. Because I don't understand how someone who earns 800k in Nigeria as a store manager want to come to UK to start all over again, because I promise you no company in the UK will hire you as a store manager without UK experience. Sometimes I just can't wrap my head around how Nigerians think!

Well your application has so many red flags. I'm not surprised!

Store manager earning 800K that must be an International store.

Just at times its not about inflating the figures.

I have seen someone earning 250K and his visa was approved.

Be honest because lying puts a lot of loopholes in your application.

Thank you all for your useful insights on my twin brother application that was denied then due to the mistake we made, we re-applied and he got his passport today.. I really appreciate everyone

Congratulations to your twin brother.

1. Please did you input £1 or you just changed to a reasonable amount that is supported by the amount of money in his bank statement?
2. Apart from the amount he planned to spend personally, did you make any other amendments to the new application (especially the annual allowance)?
3. Also, did you include a cover letter to address the issues raised during the previous denial.

Good day everyone. Please help. Aside marriage certificate, wedding pictures, pictures with children, wedding invitation card, what else can one use as proof of relationship for a couple who has been married for 14years and one of the partner is already in the UK for five months.

Joint account, tenancy agreements, utility bills, children's birth certificates, evidence of communication (WhatsApp or social media Messages), and pictures of them together anywhere could be helpful.

Shalom!

yes I inputted £1 as advised and a cover letter to address the issue. No amendment was made as we already stated that his sister will be the sponsor.

To show evidence of his personal financial circumstances, I’m wondering how many months of his personal bank statements you included in addition to his sister’s.

Remember, if a company or family is sponsoring your trip it doesn’t matter.
If you are 18 or older, what matters most to them is you that is traveling, so to have a better chance, make sure your personal circumstance is rich.

Don’t assume because your company and family member has the resources then you just go as an empty individual, it only works for minor, get your acts together even if someone is sponsoring you…

Good morning house...

Please I need your advice

A friend in UK is trying to assist my sibling come over on a Cos care giver job role and my sibling is thinking of marrying his longgggg time girlfriend so he can go with her as his dependant or vice versa as the case might be .

Please advice if it will be possible considering that he already made plans of having the court wedding by this December and paying her dowry also.

But his friends is thinking that the sudden marriage plans might raise a red flag eventhough he has a WhatsApp conversation with this lady that spans more than 5yrs...pictures both old and new

Both parties have their international passport in their separate names though as it was done earlier this month when there was no plan of even relocation on the cards yet.

Kindly advice to avoid resources from his friend over in the UK to go to a waste

Cheers!!!!

How long does it take to obtain a Portugal Visa?

Documents required for visa application?
• Application Form (Fill Now)
• 2 passport size photographs
• Copies of passport, and previous visas – Your passport must have at least 2 blank pages.
• Travel insurance confirmed for a minimum of €30,000 throughout the entire Schengen area.
• UK Resident Permit/BRP Card.
• Return air tickets and hotel bookings
• Tickets for travel within the Schengen Area (if applicable)
• Bank statement
• An employment contract, along with a leave letter (if applicable)

The minimum Visa Application processing time for obtaining a Portugal visa is 1 weeks, but in some cases, it may take 3 weeks or more depending upon the evaluation done by the Embassy. For more information, you may required to visit official website - www.portugalvisa.org.uk

Looks like they are trying to get married for the sake of Skilled worker visa, this is not ideal.
Nevertheless, the suddenness of a marriage does not in itself decide the genuineness of a marriage. They will need to submit evidence showing they are genuinely in a relationship whether married or not. Check the above posts for what kind of evidence can be submitted.

Many thanks for the response ....

Actually, what you wrote up is the honest truth..

He has plans of marrying the girl and they were both looking at April/may next year

But because this opportunity came up, he felt he should just do a lil ceremony and a court wedding to enable him to take the girl along with him as he needs "stability" in this life

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by SirPilgrim(m): 11:30am On Nov 20, 2023
It doesn't matter. Marriage Certificate is not even sufficient enough to prove a genuinerelationship.
Just work on providing enoughevidence like Whatsapp Messages, Call Logs, Old and new pictures, Properties owned together, Joint account etc
