NUC needs to.launch full investigation into this matter.. how will Law degree be a 3 yrs programme in Baze University when others are doing 4 yrs?

This is why I don't like glorified secondary schools called private universities springing up everywhere in the country, they have bastardized our educational system in Nigeria.

See the fo0lish man running as VP to another dubious fellow that want to form New Nigeria.. Simple instructions, they can't obey.

Lawyers in Nigeria are really doing the legal profession a great disservice if they know about the illegality going on in Datti Ahmed Baze university and are quiet about it.

No wonder we have so many failures parading themselves as barristers with nothing tangible to offer.

A school has been running illegal programs for years, with no one saying anything. Now that they are sanctioned, all your brain could tell you is that it's political.
You haven't proven to be a human. If you are a human, you would have noticed that I repeatedly said I support the punishment.

Just because he called Tinubu a drug dealer…is there any lie in what he said? This Tinubu is one of the biggest fools I have ever seen. How can you be chasing pigeons when most of your supporters are dying from hunger, starvation and lack of medical care because they can afford the price of medication today?

There is no reasonable reason why university should have a quota of just 50 students

Because he called Tinubu a drug baron on national television.
.

Tinubu has made several trips abroad without being delayed by 1min at entry point.

Nigerians dodged a stray-bullets by voting against fraudsters like Obi and Daftti.

Datti the rogue again at it. This dude rigged his way into the senate until the appeal court sacked him and handed victory to the rightful person. Ordinary to maintain the the quota given to his school by law school, he greedily violate the quota severally thereby graduating innocent students who can’t admitted to law school.

Sadly, these are the fraudulent characters in Labour Party that go about claiming they want to change the country. These rogues just want to grab power by all crooked means for their selfish interest and nothing else. God will continue to expose them one after the other.

Nigerian Law School Places Five-Year Ban On Faculty Of Law At Datti Ahmed’s Baze University.

The imposition of the moratorium was sequel to the findings of the Council of Legal Education which showed that the university’s Law Faculty was currently having a backlog of over 347 law students waiting to be admitted into the Nigerian Law School.

“Baze University runs a three (3)-year LL.B programme for some UTME candidates without the approval of National Universities Commission (NUC), Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB and Council of Legal Education.”

The statement further noted that “Under the NUC Minimum Benchmark Academic Standard (BMAS) for law degree programme in Nigerian Universities, Law is a five (5)-year programme for UTME candidates and four (4)-year for Direct Entry students.

The punishment is well-deserved if the school is actually guilty of the stated offense.

But what I don't like is selective justice. More terrible things happen in other schools but the authority looks away because the owners of the schools are not in the opposition parties.

What is done to Base University now is justice and I am sincerely not against justice. But would the justice have happened if Datti is not in LP? This is like the EFCC that never jails any friend of the government in power. This is the same country where a forged certificate is used to be a president and being a drug lord is not an offense for a president.

ADDED
I make it clear here that I am not against the punishment given to Base University. But fools who hate balanced judgement are making noise as if any part of my comment is against the ban on the university. If madness doesn't run in your lineages, show me where I said the ban is wrong. I even started by saying the ban is well-deserved.

So even with the high tuition fees and students from elite families, the school cannot organsie a simple Law faculty?

It is actually an expensive school with children from upper middle class families. So, I am surprised they cannot do things properly.

Many students after passing their
WAEC, have crossed the border to
neighboring Benin Republic and come
back 2½ to 3 years later with degrees.

I know a family whose daughter got
her WAEC in June 2018, got admitted
into a degree program in Cotonou and graduated by 1st quarter 2021, did her
NYSC 2021/ 22❗️❗️❗️

Her own mates who got admitted into
private Nigerian universities only graduated
last year and are currently serving.

Imagine❗️❗️❗️😕😕😕😕

Since the reasoning behind this decision has been so clear it will easily become apparent if this has been selective. But whatever maybe, it is criminally unjust to admit students on the "maybe that somehow" accommodation can be reached with the law school. These students too deserve justice. From my knowledge of the Nigerian law school, it does not bend. It would be extremely prideful to imagine that an institution that has not bent to the whims of global unis ( eg law major degrees) would bend to an abridged law degree.

I could remember when OAU Faculty of Law was sanctioned by the same NUC, nobody termed it political because they failed to meet the requirements.

Now that Baze University has been sanctioned for failing to do the right thing, we are now hearing cry of selective justice. It will be the most dishonourable act for Datti to come out and term this political witch-hunt.

Even a whole OAU Faculty of Law was sanctioned, so what is Baze University?

Kindly read again. That quota is just for their Faculty of Law.

Every university has specified quota of students to be admitted for each course.
For instance, Medicine in OAU and UI have about 150 students each to be admitted every session. There are many factors put into consideration for the allocation of quotas

These nigerian system is just sickening. Law degree in UK takes less than 3yrs. These people brought education to us but we want to do 5yrs as oversabi country. What are they teaching that is better than what they teach abroad if not complexity and corruption. Visiting law school website and I can smell corruption from there. No good information that can guide you right but from here you get every detail you need from schools abroad.

5yrs of the course is nothing but repetition I can bet.
