This is a very big argument and I can say that proverty rate is really exaggerated.

The rate at which people are making millions in Nigeria is mind blowing and no where in the world do people make such money in savings even in UK, Canada and US.

It's way exaggerated. Enemies of the country are heavily invested in this misinformation.

Do you know how many people borrow to leave the country?

Some think it’s cheap until they enter the process and can’t pull out so they keep borrowing with the hope of paying back when they secure a job there!

have you forgotten that we are up 200 million? If 50 million people travel today, 150 million is still remaining.

And why can't they sell the landed properties and use it to start a business?

80% of poverty is concentrated in the north. Southern Nigeria is relatively prosperous. So your perspective on poverty will change depending on where you are

Poverty isn't exaggerated but rich people plenty for Naija.

I always see ATMs and Banks full. Yes, people come to withdraw as little as 1000 naira. But still....

Domestic air tickets are ridiculous and don't even go near the international ones... Yet you would still see airports & planes full.

I bought domestic tickets on time, i.e. 2 months before Christmas at 100k, one way. Tell me how someone with 300k salary can afford 200k for just tickets?

But mehnnn, there is poverty every where. Even bankers and doctors, who are in the top earners dey hear am.

Who tell u say bankers and doctors Nah top earners. Lol

Omo I don Dey banking field for long
Spent 6 years getting cert

Omo working with a certificate without knowing anyone
Omo you just die for poverty

Years now. I have dumped my certificate

I hustle like a complete sch drop out now

Omo I am doing so well

Omo school nur be am for naija o

With the rate at which Nigerians are leaving Nigeria, you will think with N50k you can japa from that country. Every Tom, Dick and Harry have left, the remaining ones are just waiting to buy their flight ticket.

I doubt if we still have up to 1 million people left in Nigeria at this time. So where is that multidimensional poverty statistics coming from? If almost everybody can afford the cost of Japa that doesn't come cheap. This makes me to come to the conclusion that, Nigerians might not have money in their bank account, but majority have tangible assets that can be easily converted to cash if the need arises.
They japa on loans and borrowed funds from people in abroad which was easier to pay back as soon as they started working

Imagine borrowing N2M from bank and be able to pay back in 3 months successfully from your salary abroad

Less than 2million Nigerians have migrated in the last 4 years. That’s less than 1% of Nigerian population…. Let that sink in.

More than 95% of Nigerians will never afford the funds to migrate irrespective the dimension the japa race takes.

While japa impacts the economic class in Nigeria, it has not dent on the overall population.

Poverty is a Nigerian….. if in doubt, move around Nigeria
