I sold my house and everything to Japa and I am not regretting it. Thanks to my wife that have good foresight. I know how much I pay on school fees alone in Nigeria while here school is free for my kids, I only pay for food £12 per week.

While in Nigeria before the month end like this, I am already looking for who to borrow money from to fuel car to go to work.

Within 6 months I know how much I don safe here in the UK despite working part time oo because of the kids, If I wan build another house for Nigeria I can do it but I won't.

When you talk about visa.. You talking about fees for processing your stuff and health charges.

Visa application is 480 or 500 dollars and health charges is 980 or so dollars. Let's say 1500 dollars. This is for UK.


You must have genuine reason for coming. Either as skill worker or through school which is easiest or through tourist visa etc.

You can look for companies employing for roles that are open to foreigners due to shortage of workers... E.g Tech, health sector etc. This area is cheap and I will recommend it because the company is your sponsor.


For school.. Your school is your sponsorship.... But you will apply and pay certain fee from 3500 to 8000 pounds before they issue you documents to process your visa... You will have money in ur account to that covers your entire fee plus living expenses.. If school fee is 15,000 pounds, living expenses is 10,000 pounds.

One major problem in Nigerian is the Herd Mentality syndrome.

Once you start up any trend in Nigeria that promises to bring in fortune. The rest of the population will blindly and quickly jump on it without applying due diligence. Check Pos business, Content creation, MMM etc other African countries don't behave this way.

Those that will lose on this trend are the ones who have something meaningful doing in Nigeria and those who sold solid properties to Japa.
