What do the yorubas produce to have made them the richest tribe? Nothing of great note–just politics, oil from the south south, and fraud through religion, cybercrime, e.tc. You have only benefited unfairly on the back of others. Before independence, it was through the slave trade, which you involved heavily(due to the slave ports in your land). And through religion during colonialism. Post colonialism, aside entertainment that I can give kudos to you, the wealth of the Yoruba are through the criminality of the Nigerian state which you are taking advantage of.

He thought he could outsmart the Northerners who people believed were backwards and easy to manipulate. He was outsmarted instead and got a ceremonial presidential position while the North got the powerful Prime Minister position. We were running a parliamentary system during that era.

However, the Westerners know that the Northerners were actually very politically smart. They have had relations and businesses with them for centuries. They were, Major General David Akpode Ejoor from Ovu in the present Delta State, then serving as the Military Governor of the Mid-Western region and Major General Hassan Usman Katsina, who was then serving as Governor of the Northern region.
Lt. Col. Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu , Military Governor of Eastern Region welcomed the decree while Lt. Col. Francis Adekunle Fajuyi, Military Governor of Western Region never commented on the promulgation of the decree.
