there's no doubt about that, people respect him all over the world

They are all caf- African football player of the year worthy...

It's unbelievable Jay never won it. He came close though. Mikel came close also.


If all of them were in their prime and are all nominees I had to pick best from this your particular list:

-Jay
-Taribo
-Mikel
-Amokachi
-Obafemi

For me it would be a close margin to pick Mikel above Amokachi but I rated him above because he is a more versatile player.

Also Obafemi would be a bit far down the perking order.

I think he should have played for top clubs in England/Spain instead of Bolton.

Jay Jay of course. But he plays for club that wouldn't win a dime, so winning it got difficult. If he had played for Chelsea or Man Utd when Eto is playing for Barcelona, they would have divided Etoo's wins into two equal halves and Okocha would still have won another one or two extras in addition.

Op where is Finidi George in that list.....Finidi achieved far more than any of them in that list.

Man was a celebrated star in Ajax Amsterdam with several league trophies and Champions league to cap things up, left for Betis in Spain and continued his onslaught, a CAF nations cup winner etc.

Finidi should be in that list ....what is super eagles and Ajax without their number 7 in his playing days.

All of them,especially Okocha.

Yakubu aigbeni should win it...

Okocha never won major club honours - would have always been difficult for him. Mikel was never exceptional enough as an individual.

So it's sad our most gifted player was not accomplished enough, and our most accomplished player was not gifted enough.

Honestly, if I'm to pick, I will pick the four of them, because they were good during there time..

First on the list is going to be:

1. Jajay- honestly, if he's not a Nigerian, he would have been among thr World best player, he has his bad side of too much play on the field, but he's damn good.

2. Taribo- that pastor is a dirty defender during his day's, baba is the Sergio ramos of his time, but only that his scoring is not upto Sergio, pastor knows how to pocket defender and do all those dirty job at the back.

3. Amokachi- Honestky, his dribbling skills too and scoring ability can notch him that award, he's good

5. Obafemi- I've known him and his brother right from upper campus, beside my mum family house, his shot is like bullet, if you are not that good, you can take his shot once without making it a rebound for another player to score. He really learnt alot in inter youth team and some hot shot from former inter player adriano
