Tell uour doctor to do a 'membrane swipe'.

Be a little patient ma'am.

You can take a very long walk though or climb the staircase up and down.

There are other natural remedies aside the ones you mentioned but I'll advice you excersise patience pls or go back to the hospital and get induced.

please, just go to better government hospital, induction is not good at all , it would affect the baby's brain, sometimes the baby would become weak , if your husband has money let them bring the child out, it is the safest.. please don't do anything by yourself..

I heard something about castor oil but I honestly don't know it works. You're most likely having a girl, na dem dey tie gele do make-up, fix nails while in there while their male counterparts would have bounced out around 38 weeks. Speaking from experience sha.

Tomorrow marks it 3 weeks my baby is here with the mother(39 weeks 5 days). She did 4 scans all tru her pregnancy. The latest one was my concern when we notice discomfort amd the report didn't seems well. Remember induction is a forceful way to extract a baby and very painful and most tyms as I was told the baby might be too weak to accept such procedure. You don't want to have to struggle your baby out.
CS was our option, I signed the consent form and my spouse didn't have to eat anything. In the morning around 8am she was already in the ward. After anatesia, the doctor performed the cut under her belle line to expose her gauging uterus. The rest was pulling the baby out and the head was the last to follow.
I watched it like a movie scene with courage and praying.
At the end I smiled and the mother is OK and fully recovered. I don knack her one, but na slow slow 5 days ago self..

At 39 weeks plus, you still have time a bit.

Usually, medical induction would be offered you at 41 plus 2-5 daysbefore your 42nd week is completed.

One other natural catalyst for labour is the semen because it contains prostaglandins which can initiate labour.

Engaging in sexual intercourse will definitely settle your case.

same here too. Had CS at 39 weeks 6 days. I'm fully recovered. My baby is 2 weeks today.

You're probably unmarried or have never witnessed anything related to child bearing.

1. Go to the hospital where you booked or if it’s an unbooked pregnancy, go to a hospital.
When you get there; the obstetrician will:

a. Take a quick/comprehensive history
b. Do a general and obstetric examination
c. Request for ultra sound scan to access viability, AFI and rule or IUFD.
c. Take sample for investigation
d. Ensure that dating is correct with LMP and early ultra sound scan.
e. Counsel you to wait till 41 weeks and 3/5 days and comeback for possible admission and induction of labour using escalating dose of oxy…. or mi…..


GO TO THE HOSPITAL!!!

Secondly, how are you sure the baby can survive induced labour? Have you carried out tests on the baby to ascertain the heart beat rate and other parameters from your phone o wise man?
