According to a source, he was tested after our game with Guinea Bissau, not Cameroon. The news just reached nairaland today.

It's normal. They don't tell anyone when they are coming or who they choose. They just come, pick any player and test. Especially start players. I hope Osimhen no go fail the test oh.

To me ,he hasn't been on par with previous Africa's best.The likes of Salah, Mane and Yaya... He maybe he's the best the continent has to offer for now (based on his Napoli form) but they should just tone down on the hype. I think you do not understand how the modern football works. Let me try to educate you a little bit.
In modern day football, strikers are not only valued for their goal scoring abilities. A strikes has to have high energy levels. They need to have good defending abilities, disrupting backward passes. They have to be good aerially defending corners. Osimhen has all of these. PSG, Real Madrid, Chelsea know what they want and see it in him.

He's playing among average Nigerian players. You can see the trouble he's giving opponents defenders. Sometimes a good player doesn't score. He just give opponents tough times thereby freeing his team mates to do the scoring because he would have neutralized 2 or 3 defenders single handedly.

If you observe closely, an average of 2 defenders always try to converge around Osihmen thus making them one man short to defend others in several instances.

Osimhen has a very high work rate. He has been directly or indirectly involved in all our goals bar the last one.

He is a constant headache and nightmare to defenders, bullying them from the first minute to the last, making sure they make costly mistakes due to fear.
