Boss, Please does anyone know why Sma Hybrid 12v 1kva inverter will be showing 09 fault code. In the manual it means bus soft start failed. It’s a new inverter. justcallmenuel: |

Penuelseun: Okay but noneTheLess, you don't just ask One to make a change, without giving logical reasons. it's even worse when said item is very expensive. Here na public forum, if you no want make person put mouth for matter, send them a DM / PM or make it obvious said comment is directed to them. |

macbeyland: Depending on what sort of cells you ends up getting, coupling shouldn't be much a hassle, especially if you follow online guides. NB: That you sourced cells yourself, doesn't necessarily mean you would get quality cells, except you really know about them, or have a superTrusted supplier |

rmoloruntoba: yea. Would / should work on any ChargeController that has such Load point wether na PWM or MPPT. Also, mind you, that load-Port on chargeController ain't exactly 12-Volts Ooo. It's rating is often based on battery voltage Oooo. for instance, that same load-Port giving you voltage of 12-volts, could equally give you 24-volts or 48-volts according to the battery voltage system. Also, would suggest you don't plug heavy appliance on that chargeController load-Port so as not to endanger your chargeController. I love that port because anything connected there, can't drain the battery beyond a responsible level. na there my Laptops dey 100% of the time. 1 Like |

JoeSef0: what's capacity and charge level of the batteries ? What's the starting-Voltage of said chest freezer ? Most of these funny inverter systems wey I dey see for here, me no sabi them. Who knows, maybe said inverter sef is over-Rated. Also, why even trying to power a Freezer, even if na Fridge sef, on a 12-Volts system ? |

Ferdiwar: Peterlove11: AshipaEk0: dollarnaira: Debroslink:Thanks so much guys, we had our first rain of the year yesterday night… This morning I went to check the panel yeild, I was getting as high as 450W which is more than 80% of the rated wattage of the 550w Jinko panel. This was even as early as 10.30am. So your theories about the weather was very correct! Thank you guys. I was initially worried maybe it is was my wiring, maybe Foauni don dey sell fake Jinko, maybe it was my charge controller, so many maybes😂😂, I did not know it was dust in the sky that was cheating my panels of correct sun rays😅. 4 Likes |

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 11:30am On Feb 14 |
Ayomipoe:would suggest getting an inverter that supports other Voltages also e.g 12v & 24v. Also, would suggest going for an inverter anywhere from 1.5KVA and above as 1KVA is easily not enough sooner than later. 1 Like |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 11:36am On Feb 14 |
brightk:hmm if it's not given to you as a present or gift, why not just stick to known brands. that way, should you require assistance, it would be easier. Anyway sha, me no sabi Oooo |

I understand. However, I am looking for a temporary solution. The SMS hybrid inverter I bought is showing 09 error code. I need something to fill in the gap while I get the warranty process sorted bassdow: |

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 11:50am On Feb 14 |
Ayomipoe:rather than waste time waiting, why not go into market and buy new or used one. As for the error code, with help of the manual, you should be able to interprete the error code into human readAble language. It just might be a small issue. Have often said it here, make una try dey avoid all these expensive unKnown appliances. which one be "SmS hybrid inverter". Anyway consult the manual, e fit be small thing |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 11:57am On Feb 14 |
isangjohnson: not into this BUT with experience from normal elctronic circuits, the "20a 4s daly bluethooth dongle" clearly seems small for the BMS. na either e no work at all, e small something, or it gives inAccurate readings |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by mctfopt: 12:07pm On Feb 14 |
Ayomipoe: This indicates a problem with the inverter's IGBT or DC-DC MOSFET, which are components that convert DC power to AC power. This could be caused by a high AC surge or PV surge that damages these sections. You'll need it to take it to a service centre for repairs. |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 12:09pm On Feb 14 |
emmaniche:you failed to state if your charge controller is PWM or MPPT. That really matters. Also why mixing solar panels of different types. Either focus on MONO or POLY. Would suggest that since you intends adding more solar panels, focus on MONO and not mix up again so that the mixture no go too plenty again. Would have suggesting removing the POLY entirely but I don't know how healthy your pocket is. As for if your charge controller would work, just add up the enitire Max input current of your solar panels and if it's above 60A, though most times, the charge controller would handle things accordingly. should in case the Max input current of the solar panels exceeds 60A, you could change configuration of the solar panels to combination of Series & Parallel to reduce the output current from the solar panels. Just be sure your chargeController is designed for such voltage. |

bassdow: You kuku see say I dinnor quote/reply him again😂😂😂😂 Because I know my controller is a premium controller. Even though the guy first made me fear😂. The panel is currently fully blasting power into my controller as I speak and the controller is almost nearing its peak 40A sef. I am getting 30A plus already. Bet me I knew nothing do the controller. The guy was just giving me High Blood Pressure advice😂😂. 1 Like |

easyyoke: if you could afford it, go for morningStar (more expensive) OR epEver (cheaper) or Fangpusun. There are a few others but those I listed are readily available in Nigerian markets especially epEver & Fangpusun |

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by easyyoke: 12:40pm On Feb 14 |
bassdow: I am looking at FELICITY 80A because it seem like the only one that supports me remotely controlling it. I dont like going to charge controllers to check the screen all the time. I prefer to monitor everything from my ohone. The new Felicity MPPT controller supports that and seem readily available in the Nigerian market. Whats your take on FELICITY charge controllers |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 12:43pm On Feb 14 |
mvphenryeto5:A single 300watts MONO solar panel or 2pcs to be on safer side since chances are, you would be making use of it while it's charging + weather conditions flunctuates. Just pair it with MPPT chargeController if going for more than 1pcs as using PWM would just be wasting the generated power |
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by bassdow: 12:46pm On Feb 14 |
easyyoke: well no problem. To me, chargeControllers, be like cPanel in hostings - except when needed, you've got no business with it. Plus if you check, those brands I listed should have something similar. Also, would suggest going for chargeController anywhere from 100A since you already aiming for 80A to reducew chances of nearing a forced upgrade. |
