We have many unfinished road projects in the country, and some of them are quite significant. Let the government complete those roads before initiating another major project. Tinubu intends to use this project for massive embezzlement, and I foresee it being abandoned before it even starts.

This country is a joke. And the funniest part is that some set of people will be happy, thinking they're doing a certain tribe, not knowing they're doing themselve. Go on twitter, you'll see some people cheering that misplaced priority of a project, saying Igbos should go to their region and invest, they don't want Igbos investment in Lagos bla, bla, bla. But what they don't know is that other investors who are not Igbos are also watching and taking notes.

I just they laugh those people because by the time they realise what they doing to themselves, I'll be like when Zimbabweans began chasing white people and their investments out of their lands in the 1980's thinking they were doing the oyinbos, only for the country to suffer from one of the worst economic crisis known to mankind a few years later grin

Lastly as a SS babe, this is for those of you saying "God bless people of SS & SW", deceiving yourselves, if Nigerian divides today and for some reason, SS are not able to get their own country, We would rather go with the Igbos than join ourselves with the same corrupt people that have been responsible for our sufferings and the sufferings of Nigeria at large since 1960. Make una continue to dey deceive unaselves, we know our true friends and know our true enemies.

I really love your post. You spoke my mind at a great length. It's so unfortunate that most nigerians are so easy to deceive

The problem with many tribalistic Nigerians in the South west is they lack common sense. You want your country to prosper but don't want the prosperity of your own "country-man" .I keep making reference to the great achebe in quote which says "In order to hold someone else down in the mud , you also have to remain down in that same mud ". The so called igbos run businesses that oil the economy and has ripple effects on your immediate society whether yoruba ,hausa or whatever. If you want to see them fall so bad , just like cutting your nose to spite the face.

Then you better leave them be and start the long journey of building your own country without them. Countries do not stumble into greatness, without unity you just have a geographical contraption and your children will never know what a great country looks like. Make hay while the sun shines. We have lost so much already economically from this hate since the Civil War, we are holding the African continent backwards.

What are the issues?

(1) Landmark admitted they violated the right of way of FG.

(2) They have not proved that they own the coastal land.

(3) The demolition only affected some shanties, and hardly the main buildings.

(4) Landmark wanted to fight the project to protect their selfish interest.

(5) How come he didn't seek redress in court if he felt his land was forcefully taken away from him?

(6) Why are other businesses not making so much noise like Landmark?

If anyone wants to take his businesses out of Nigeria, he can consider the market and the operating conditions. Landmark goofed here. They never asked the right questions. They felt if they build on that land and stayed for long, it would automatically belong to them. The least I expected him was to find another location in Lagos to continue. Just inform your patrons of the new location.

How hard is that?
Why is it difficult to comprehend things
Or Are you just being mischievous
1.The beach owner said that he knew about the coastal road,Yes
The road is supposed to go behind the Beach
Do you know that the FG rechannelled the road?
This is not where they wanted to build it
2.As for taking FG to court
Do Nigeria government obey Court orders?

I am still surprised at how you conviniently link the demolition to a tribal attack on some ethnic groups! So the government cannot embark on any infrastructure project again in peace?

Is it him that determines where the road will run?

So he even knew it was land earmarked for a road, and he built a resort there?

Mssheww.

Can he try that in UK or America?

Plus Tayo Aina needs to SHUT THE HELL UP, and go live wherever he wants and stop using Nigeria as his excuse.

Idiot too stupid and full of himself to see the big picture or read the legal provisions around the issue.

No, Tayo Aina, in those places you mentioned with your inferiority complex, you cannot build on a land you know has been earmarked for a road, and then when time comes to build the road, you start instructing the govt where the road should pass through.

You can never try that in those countries you worship, Mr Aina.

He even mentioned Middle East.

Dem no born you well to try such there.

to think ediots like aina will travel to abijdan to show the world 10million lane roads and ask why Nigerian don't have it.
Now that Nigerians wants to to have, the same ediot still talking rubbish.

Anything to demarket Nigeria for cheap clicks is welcome.

Bunch of Fucking ediots.

Landmark isn't a tourist destination. Landmark is just like a small beach side resort for those who can afford it. and lets not talk about the overpriced and exploiting restaurants and cafe along that oniru beach shorelines

How many tourist visit landmark? majority of customers in landmark are Nigerians

it unfortunate that some people have spined these stuff into a tribal issue but along that shores, lot of restaurants, shops and also shanties will also be destroyed.

if we take into consideration, the effort the lagos and federal government took to reclaim most of that land from the ocean, they spent billions of naira doing that, but then how can you now claim ownership of something that has a master plan and the government have spent billions of dollars in doing.

Have you ever thought why there are no beach front house properties in Nigeria? it is because of the landuse acts and the claim that from 250M from the beach shore, the government owns it.

so why spin the news into something tribal, when you know you are breaking the land use act and also the government master plan
As usual, one brainwashed simpleton would stagger in with some retarded 'argument' to defend the indefensible, in a bid to sound smart.

Was the federal government or Lagos govt sleeping when he was building the beach resort, you can't tell me that he didn't get permission from the federal and state government before carrying out such expensive project, that's will be a big lie..I strongly believe govt officials gave him approval because you can't build something this big and expensive without government approval. So the govt is at fault to even allow him carry such project knowing fully well there was already a master plan in the first place but they have collected bribe and look the other way now they are saying all form of rubbish.
Let me say this Nigeria is a very lawless country, if this is UK or US or anywhere in Europe the govt must fully compensate for such losses before they can start destroying because the matter will be in court by now and they dare not do anything until the court says otherwise but as we dey Nigeria the federal government always think they are bigger than the court and they are above the law
