I can’t sleep since 3days ago, am trying my possible best to force it, I am also affected because I worked with a company inside the beach where I see my daily bread, am down, where did they want over 10,000 people that rely on landmark beach to survive. Am down !!! Even my manager cried yesterday

I've observed Yoruba that look like Igbo people reason and behave just like Igbo people. Even agabadox know this fact, why they also attack them and deny them from voting in the last election. I truly believe if you test the DNA of these real Yorubas/Omulabis, you will find out that they are more related to Igbo and share nothing with Agbadox, who invaded Yorubaland from from Dahomey and Togo. They don't even look alike. Omulabis need to investigate this.

CyberWolf: What is a beach resort without access to the beach front? Is the government that granted him the license to build the beach resort not aware of the coastal highway plan? Why did the abandone the old design of the coastal highway and decided to encroach on businesses and communities people suffered to build without any assistance from the government? Later they go abroad begging for FDI.. Bunch of unserious jockers. They are building new coastal highway while the current highways from West to East and North are in a terrible state. Why not fix the existing road infrastructure and make sure it’s in good condition before starting another elephant project which everyone knows will be abandoned or not be completed in the next 50 years.. Useless idiots calling themselves leaders and supporters. I already explored both sides of the story. The crux of the issue here is that people are painting the case as though Landmark's buildings were demolished. I totally understand it's a beach resort and I faulted the LASG and FG for granting such licenses in the first place. I don't know if there's a clause saying government still had unfettered access to such locations, cos it's quite possible. Either ways, I hope he gets compensated well. |

Certificate of Occupancy (C of O), is an important document issued by the state government in Nigeria that shows you own a piece of land or property. Research could have saved you from this trash.
you obviously copied from google A Certificate of Occupancy is a government-issued document that grants a person, a group of individuals, or a corporation possession and right of occupancy in a certain piece of land for all purposes for a period of 99 years.Section 9 of the Land Use Act 1978 empowers the State Governor of the State of Nigeria, where the land is situated, to grant a certificate of occupancy. The Section provides that "it shall be lawful for the Governor if a person is entitled to a statutory right of occupancy; the issue of a Certificate shall be accompanied by proof of that right of occupancy." Section 28 of the Act allows the Governor to revoke a Certificate of Occupancy issued on land for reasons of overriding public interest, whereas a Deed of Assignment cannot be revoked; only the Governor's consent granted upon the perfection of the Deed can be revoked.a Certificate of Occupancy is not a good root of title, especially if there are other existing interests on the property, whereas a Deed of Assignment serves as a proper root of title |

Meanwhile, the Lagos-Badagry, Lagos-Ibadan and Abuja-Lokoja highways have been dragging for years. Yet Dave Umahi is obsessed with building another coastal highway after his charade of a white-elephant variegated colour unproductive Airport in Ebonyi state. When last did you visit Lagos Badagry and Lagos Ibadan? First Lagos Badagry is under purveyor of Lagos State since the concession agreement they signed with the Yaradua government. Lagos Ibadan is nearing completion since last year I visited Ibadan. Why will David Umuahi focus on them? I can't say anything about the Abuja Lokoja road. emkz: What are the issues?
(1) Landmark admitted they violated the right of way of FG.
(2) They have not proved that they own the coastal land.
(3) The demolition only affected some shanties, and hardly the main buildings.
(4) Landmark wanted to fight the project to protect their selfish interest.
(5) How come he didn't seek redress in court if he felt his land was forcefully taken away from him?
(6) Why are other businesses not making so much noise like Landmark?
If anyone wants to take his businesses out of Nigeria, he can consider the market and the operating conditions. Landmark goofed here. They never asked the right questions. They felt if they build on that land and stayed for long, it would automatically belong to them. The least I expected him was to find another location in Lagos to continue. Just inform your patrons of the new location.
How hard is that? I doubt you have ever made a simple honest living apart from your agbero extortion job. See your big mouth like 'just find another location and inform your patrons", sounds so easy in your lazy agbero head. Muturideen. |
