I agree with all
I respect those people.
The Bible I currently use was given free of charge to me.
Many people were complaining about the Bible but I didn't care. They didn't bother to volunteer to buy one for me anyway.
The only reason why I didn't join them is because they don't beat drums or dance in their congregation.
I am a Yoruba man. I love dancing to God.
90% of the acts should be studied and followed by other Christians.

The JW is a cult. They give the outward appearance of civility but the members are in a cage they can't escape from because of the threats of punishment they have been convinced are terrible.

Facts. And the punishments that keep them in the Cult are:

If you leave the Cult, your JW family and friends will be taken away from you as you are now regarded to be for Satan and fit for destruction by God

If you question the doctrines and ways of doing things in the Cult, you will be called an Apostate and a judicial committee will be formed against you by the Elders in the Congregation. They will ask you if you believe that God is using their Governing body to dispense spiritual food today. If you say Yes, you are safe. If you say No but that you believe in only God and Jesus, you will be disfellowshipped. This is because their Governing body is equal to Jesus and you cannot say you believe in God and Jesus without including their Mediators the Governing body.

Yes, i do like that character they show, when they are preaching, although i don't know if they are pretending, never gone to their hall.

I have debated them that Jesus is God, they are quite stubborn smiley, anyway i like their calm way of talking but not their doctrine.

I'm not a witness but I've attended their meetings in two states and it's being good.

I have lot of them as friends and they're indeed nice people.

Well, as being pretentious, at least they won't hide at your back to sully your name, plan evil against you or even go against their beliefs like some other Christians do.

That itself is beyond the red flag. to distort the bible.

Courz:

At the bolded, that will never happen with Jehovah's Witnesses as long as they have a Bible that is distorted. Every single doctrine that you don't agree with them is based on the Bible verses in the below thread.

At the bolded, you will care after reading the thread below. You must have heard about the manipulations in their Bible. If you are really interested in what the Bible says, Do Not Use Their Bible. But if you love distorted Bible Verses to suit their own Doctrines and not what the original Bible says, then use their Bible.

If this is your definition of a cult then the whole of Christianity, and even mankind is in a cult. Every rule/law in Christianity and in life is based on one threat of punishment or the other if you don't follow it.

The whole concept of Christianity is based on the threat that if you don't follow Christ, you'll be thrown into hell where you will burn for ever. What threat of punishment is greater than that?

Even at work, if you come late or refuse to come to work for one day what happens? Either your salary is deducted, or you're suspended without pay, or even sacked.

As a self employed business person if you don't pay your taxes you will be faced with severe punishment from the government. Irrespective of wether that particular tax is justified or not. Is that freedom?

You are not really as free as you think. We are all in a cage even though we sometimes own the cage.

Exactly. Beyond Red Flag. Distorting the Bible means you have a very Big problem with the words of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. If you take a look at that thread I posted, you will see where their Bible attacked God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Better is the day of death than day of birth means Jehovah's Witnesses should not give birth and makes procreation a bad thing to celebrate.

Right?
Wow, we as JW we do celebrate the birth\ arrival of a new born baby with gift, just as the wise men did when Christ was born, the yearly celebration of birthday is not done by Christ and we dont practise it

I understand you. I just mentioned another denomination with similar qualities. The denomination even pays house rents, school fees and medical bills for poor members. Yet, they don't collect offerings. The denomination sends people on mission works to countries. I know a Nigerian that the denomination sent to England. I met some Ghanians that the denomination sent to Nigeria some time ago.

NOTE:
All I say here is for knowledge sake, not to demarket or market any denomination.

Well said and quite enlightening.

1. But I want to ask: must churches send members or evangelists to a far country when there are enough unbelievers in our communities?

2. I ask this cos members struggle to raise money always to send out ministers when the locales and members within are starving.

You can chat me up on michaelogizi@gmail.com if you don't mind.

Thanks

If threatening people with eternal torture is not coercion then football is not a sport.

Also baptism is a sort of initiation, and you are not exactly free to leave as in some cases you lose your friends and family in the process as they now see you as an outcast.
Baptism is by choice. Nobody forces anyone to be baptised before becoming a Christian, though necessary. Its not a compulsion sir.

Eternal torture or hell isn't a threat. It's real. Its still a choice, to be in hell fire or enter heaven. Many who didn't find Christianity conformable cos of their own way of life had left to become atheists, Muslims or trad so, it's not by force unlike cultism, except you wan die

Shut up your mouth! You don't know anything. How will you know that your Watchtower Is a full blown Business when they have washed that your Brain? How can you keep paying Loan for a hall that is supposed to be owned by you yet, Watchtower really owns the Kingdom hall? How can a congregation that built their own hall without the help of Watchtower, keep paying money per publisher to them? Wetin concern them with the loan? Mumu. Be there and allow a group of Freemason Fraudsters to Deceive you and milk you. Do you know what happened to a A congregation in the US that refused to send their own Tithes to the Headquarters? Watchtower dissolved that congregation. Yes. Because they said the Elders were stubborn and refused to send them the money. Those Elders were very smart because they saw the Fraud! Your Watchtower and every other religion out there that focuses on Tithes Are the same. Google the networth of Watchtower Bible and Tract Society. Billionaires! And what are you? Are you a billionaire? That's to show your foolishness as a JW. Your Watchtower Is nothing but a Business!
Lol. Make enviness non kill you shall. Someone created a thread on his experience with a Christian organization, you took it personal as if the thread threatened your source of livelihood. Don't develop blood pressure over Jehovah witness o

All those things you mentioned are just shiny side attractions, designed to hoodwink the gullibles.

Unfortunately when you talk of the Koko of Biblical Christianity, JWs are completely off target.

JWs believe that Jesus is the same as Archangel Michael and does not share any nature with God. This is a fundamental disconnect from true Xtianity and renders all those serenren u put up there irrelevant. They deemphasize the sacrifice of Christ on the cross for all mankind.

Even Buddhists are more civil.

There are some of their teachings that are very dogmatic.
Their stance on blood transfusion
Their teaching about paradise on earth
Their interpretation of the Adamic nature of sin
The meaning and interpretation of hedge and hell

Religion or faith is all about choice.

I respect them but I am not convinced to join them.

Just like there many churches with their own made doctrines that I can cope with too.

The greatest power on earth is that of choice

In the Old Testament, it was farm produce based on their produce or harvests but in the NewTestament it is a bit different because your farm produce won't pay your church rent, and other needs in the church. Have you asked yourself this? If tithe and offering aren't important, why do JW leaders take voluntary donations from their members? Why not JW leaders provide the needs in the church with their hard earn money without asking a fathing from their members as donation?

Thanks for your response Sir/Ma.

But using the tithe to pay rent is at your own discretion. Again, I put to you respectfully that you don't have any biblical reference to back your claim. Jesus never asked you to build a physical church after all. Did he?

The sending of people to countries is for mixture and unity. For example, they send Ghanaians to Nigerians and send Nigerians to Ghana. Those sent to countries do not outnumber the citizens of those countries in the Church ministry. Also, members do not struggle to raise the fund for the travelling. The Church funds the travelling.

The church of Jesus of latter day saints, has those qualities more than any church in the world, latter day saints spend millions of dollars in evangelism, have you seen their building? Have you seen their dressing, that church is so unique to compare with any church, if you wish to learn or know more about latter day saints, you can go to their website on www.lds.org , or you can contact their missionaries on 09133938353

A cult that is going down gradually. Do you know that as a parent you are not permitted to talk to your child that has left the religion. They just lifted the ban on men keeping beards. Do you know that the religion teaches that Christ did not die for the Sins of all mankind but he died for just 144,000 persons known as the anointed ones. They once taught that the people that lived around 1914 will not all die before Christ returns, they have replaced this teaching with a more ridiculous teaching known as overlapping generations. The teaching of overlapping generations is so ridiculous even a genius will find it difficult to understand. I have given you just a few of their teachings which will not be made known to you until you join. When you join and later find out the stupidity of this religion and decide to leave they will tell their members and others who care to listen to rubbish that you are mentally diseased. Spreading negativity against former members (who they fondly refer to as apostates) is known as Spiritual Warfare. It is best not to even join because the spiritual warfare against you when you decide to leave could be devastating.

HOW MANY FALSE PROFESIES HAVE YOUR CHURCH PASTORS GIVEN YEAR IN YEAR OUT JUST TO CLAIM THEY KNOW GOD WHICH THEY DON'T
