What is wrong with it?.. no be pap and akara.
Come far North and drink hot tea with bread for breakfast from Mai Shayi

I see nothing wrong in the meal. But I see everything wrong in government sponsoring Hajj. This is a personal thing e no concern government.

After collecting 8million naira or so
Flights to the Middle East is max 1$k
That’s about 1.5m today, accomodation they get is shared and yet they can’t give them good food
Naija like fraud sha even for religion name
imagine the fraudulent character coming from people that claim to know God and prefer to go to the palace of the God, where he is resident to worship him, this is being religious with an evil mind, then the essence of the pilgrimage is totally defeated.
The FG should stop wasting our national resources on religious frivolities.

I don’t know the stupidity and mentality of Nigerians supporting this useless haj.
U spent millions to go to a country to worship a statue in a round envelope square at the end
Ends up eating pap and akara that you can’t even eat in your own house.
Such a stupid ideas
Ur friends needs money to rise up
U can’t give them
But u can give haj money
Not everyone will grow with sense

What is wrong with your reasoning, who can't eat pap and akara? If it is indomie and bread now you smile: junk food.

Hajj, pilgrimage and others are complete waste of anyone's precious time

God is in your heart, your words, how you think of people and how you treat them... especially the ones you deems lesser

Going to physical places to find or worship a spiritual being reeks of gullibility

To even think that someone these people have masters and PhDs. Hmmm

Pathetic

All, in all, you should not let the fact that I disagree with you make you be abusive and immature over it.

This is one matter on which I am passionate on account of the suffering of the people. So there. No apologies.

For the record, right now, landing cost of fuel is N1100 . You all want to buy that fuel at N200 or less. That means government would have to pay at least N900 per liter for the fuel. The total amount spent...minus the massive smuggling...could eat up to at least 70% of our budget.

If the govt had not taken the irresponsible step of floating the naira immediately after removing the subsidy, that would not be the landing cost. Now please dont tell me you dont follow that.
Re: Breakfast Given To Nigerians At Hajj (picture) by wizelink(m): 4:03pm On May 28
Our government should as a matter of urgency henceforth stop sponsoring anyone to pilgrimage. Whosoever wants to engage on such trip should do so from his or her pocket. This money could have been spent on productive sectors in order to cushion the effect of bitting hardship in the country.
Saudi arabia and israel are milking Nigeria in particular from our hard earned dollars.

Being passionate about something does not mean you calling people 'inane, paid apologists, etc'

You should not let people's opinions make you hate them.

(As for naira, we have never had a strong currency because we rely on oil, not on exporting manufactured goods and servicies. The oil money we earn cannot sustain a nation of 12 million talkless 220 million. If you want N1 to one dollar, your government has to commit to industrial develipment, part of which involves investment, which means subsides go, or no one puts money in. No one is gonna invest in something and sell at a loss, losing money).

Instead of us to create our own pilgrimage tourism Center and make other countries to pay to come over and spend their money, we are spending billions of naira for three akara and pap breakfast!! Wow...

Eventually, we got to stop wasting money on this hajj thing....and even the christian pilgrimage thing. Better spent on education and suchlike.

Modified

At some point , if you want to go on hajj or christian pilgrimage, maybe banks and other financial companies could set up a sorta app, where by if you save N1000 every week, you can go on hajj or go to jerusalem on a full package in five years time....no government involvement

Don;t know how it would work, but right now, it's all I got, as an alternative to government throwing away billions in the name of both religions.

Honestly, as a Muslim I can't comprehend why our govt is wasting money on Hajj which is the last pillar of Islam. The requirements are; you must have the money and be healthy. The holy prophet made us understand that if you attend the whole jumah in a year without missing any you have the reward of a Hajj. The money our government spend on pilgrims is too much not at a time the nation is bleeding even in affluence we don't need it.

You don't have to allow people's opinions make you hate them so bad, that you lie and abuse them all day long.

Indeed, as the great MLK said

Let no man pull you low enough to hate him

Your hate for me because of my opinions is making you not only do that, it is making you lie about me, making you make posts abusing me all day, making you be so bitter that I wonder for your mental health, and makes you so angry and sad that is it worth it man?

Plus you are acting as if anything I say here, the government would carry it out, and voila people would suffer. You are attributing powers to me that I don't have and I can never have.

Also, you are becoming a bully too. You don't want to be a bully, yet you are allowing my opinions to drive you there.

At the end, they are opinions, and no one will remember them in fifty years time. If there is an internet then.

The year we are walking away from things that don’t make us happy. The year we stop letting a piece of man disturb our piece of mind. The year we stop seeking validation from people that aren’t even valid. Never let a man pull you low enough to hate him... Now when we say “man” know that we are not just referring to a male partner in a relationship. We are referring to anything/anyone (partner, friend, family, job, etc.) that you gave power. Remember you have the power to put your happiness first, say NO, and walk away from all things that no longer serve you. So if you gave something power, became unhappy, and stayed; this quote probably resonates with you.

Have you ever allowed someone to pull you low enough to hate him? When you read that quote, did a person or thing come to mind? Yes/No? Hopefully it’s not someone that still has access to you. Two came to mind for me... not sure if I could use the word hate, but man did I dislike him and my old job A LOT.

Love and hate are opposites in the dictionary, but in my opinion they usually go hand and hand. Do you agree/disagree? Love is power and the only person or thing that probably has the power to pull you low enough to feel hate, is someone you believe you love or need. I needed my job because I needed money to pay my bills. I felt like my options were very limited and everyday that I reported to work, I lost a piece of my happiness. And that happiness wasn’t just lost at work. When you’re walking around with hate in your heart, you don't feel good about yourself which has a trickle effect on everything around you. Your finances fall, your up keep slows down, your energy decreases, and your focus is off. Why am I dressing up for this job? I don’t care about them. Why am I going above and beyond, it won’t make a difference? Why am I getting my hair done today, he ain’t taking me out. Hate requires energy and whatever isn’t good for you, doesn’t deserve your energy.

So before you feel yourself slipping, learn to walk away from relationships/jobs/things that no longer align with your purpose. Hate is draining of time and energy, and if your cup ain’t full, you damn sure can’t pour into anyone else’s
.

bro
.. I am a Muslim but I don talk am tire. This things comes with conditions... a country like Nigeria should not have anything doing with sponsoring Hajj. We always want to be politically correct. Pilgrimage is for those who can afford it and those who wants to sponsor others... It is not a governmental function.
