Jaafar Jaafar, Northerners Condemn Demolition Of Alaba Rago Market In Lagos by NLCreator: 8:19am On May 29
Northern emirs, elders and politicians are more concerned about deposition of emirs in Kano than demolition of Alaba Rago Market, where thousands Northerners earn a living.

Jaafar S Jaafar

The Lagos state government has taken advantage of the current emirate saga in Kano and demolished the Alaba Rago market in Lagos so our people won’t noticed.

Our Northern leaders are only interested in the games of throne happening in Kano while our Arewa brothers lost the means of their livelihood.

The Alaba Rago market is one of the major markets where Northerners carry out their businesses without harming anyone but the market have been demolished and no single Northern elder or politician condemn the act because they’ve successfully diverted their attention to Kano emirate.

Where’s our scholars, the so called dattawan arewa and the senate? This is the moment our people needed your voice the most.

Na ethnicism, religion and corruption go finish Nigeria last last. Will Jafar Jafar speak out if it was other tribes that dominated the market? Your guess is as good as mine.

They had been informed since last year, even Kwankwaso paid a solidarity visit before the election.

It's natural for anyone to complain, but the LASG should help them rebuild somewhere else and be strict with the security and environmental State of the new place.

Mr Jafar knowing that they were going to lose the Kano Emirship tussle, the next thing for him is to sponsor pejorative comments about Lagos state.

Did Peter Obi not demolish northerners business when he was governor? The Lagos government just followed the footsteps of Obi. The northerners are right to complain but they should channel their anger towards Obi who started with the trend

So because the market was dominated by the northern, the Lagos state govt should not develop the state.

Go back to your state and continue your nuisance there. Have you ever seen Yoruba commit a nuisance in the north or anywhere in the country, I beg, let's hear the word.

The only thing you can do is to block all foodstuff that enters the southwest. You can't do anything with the election because your only northern vote will never produce the presidency in this country, if I'm lying, ask Buhari.

I believe Kwankwaso and Shettima paid a visit to the market during campaign. They were notified long ago but its normal that they complain. These are probably PDP trying to politise the matter.

Na computer village and katagwa remain

Look at how the northerners concentrate on the issue, they didn't insult Lagos state or Yoruba people. Just issue based complaints...

Our brothers from the other side of the Buhari Bridge would have razed down their Biafra roof

Do you mean there are more Northerners in Alaba than there are in Kano

Northerners earn more in Alaba than they earn in Kano?

so they should be more concerned with Alaba than the civil war going on in Kano
