As a student you can't work more than 20hrs per week and getting visa without funding is not easy

Hi Olawrites.

Your write up that getting visa without funding is not easy is not true. Pls stop spreading the gospel of lies. Re' u telling us that the US Consulate is forcing fundings on all student visa applicants ? Your ability to cover the tuition deficit is the major interest of the consular. Once you or ur sponsor is able to display evidence of money to pay your 1st year tuition and the embassy can verify that u should not have any issue with ur visa.

That man Oyotunjiusa with few others hia have corroborated same facts. PhD prospective students re' those who actually have to agitate for fundings because they need absolute focus on their study n they have very little hours to work outside study. Undergraduates n msc applicants whose sponsor can display enough tuition funds does not need fundings n infact most int- student application usually ask if you need scholarship or not. Cheers.

Check the statistics,

How many no funding student get visa VS those that has funding.

I didn't say it's not possible, I say it's not EASY.

Please is possible for a family friend to sponsor my deficit? There isn’t enough time to pay it into a family’s account, and a non relative wants to sponsor me. What are my chances of getting the visa?

What he's saying is totally true. Funding is one of the biggest factors in you getting your visa. It helps prove you are a legit brilliant student and that you won't have difficulties paying your tuition.
Of course there are cases of students getting their visa approved without funding. But if you have been following this thread for a while, you should recognize the general trend in visa interviews: good funding and low cost of attendance = higher approval rate.

Hi.
It's not true stop misleading people. If there is pls help your friend to post the legit sources or 're u just talking of hand ? Wia is the embassy website or links dat says receiving fundings contributes towards ur visa ?

Phd fundings is the most relevant to the US Consulate 'n despite dat majority of them still gets visa denial if they cannot meet other visa requirements.

Majority of institutions esp private re spoiling the relevant of fundings because they gave it out unnecessary in order to attract int-students n US consulates re aware.

Do ya wanna hear ? The US consulates now based your student prowess and rate u as an outstanding student thru ur waec, transcripts and cgpa. Consulate does not trust gre, gmat, toefl and fundings again because they re being compromised.

Fundings n scholarship does not add to your visa success . Meeting study visa requirements is wat gives u visa. Show me the link wia fundings or scholarship is part of US visa requirements? I'm waiting 4 ur reply ? Cheers.

You are probably new to this process. I've been on and off this thread since 2019 and have read hundreds of transcripts. Reading back through previous threads and reading past transcripts will show you enough evidence of this, even VOs commending funding offers during interviews.
You ask for sources but provide no sources for your own claims.

Of course they are not gonna post that on their website. Nigeria student approval rate is very low. They adjust their criteria based on country. Are you saying all those students being denied do not meet student visa requirements?

Funding and low cost of attendance help a lot because getting a very good scholarship or assistantship is one of the biggest proofs of your brilliance as a student. Of course you have to meet other requirements as well.

Like the other guy also said, I'm not saying it's impossible without good funding. But that helps a lot.

People that wanna take the message will take it.

Hey 🤠

1. Yes it is possible for a family friend to sponsor you. But the best sponsor you can have is government, large organisations or your family which you answers same surname with.

2. Studying in USA will need anyone from Nigeria to spend multi-million Naira and aside of the above mentioned, any other 3rd parties will naturally be doubted by the USA embassy.

3. Becareful, the bank statement or any other POF of your family friend will be thoroughly verified by the USA embassy. The USA embassy has changed their style of financial verification.

Best Wishes 🙏

I think many schools in the US (more than 70%) waive the English language requirements if you're from Nigeria or obtained your undergrad degree from Nigeria. Almost same with standardized exams like GRE (except probably for PhD).
But you can search for the schools you're interested in and email them to confirm.

1. You have missed it because Nigeria is working against you. The moment you work or put your hand on anything in Nigeria or from Nigerians it will work against you.

2. You have called Nigeria hell, you have labeled Nigerians as slaves and you have constantly warned foreign residents and Nigerians abroad to not visit the prosperous Nigeria where i , you or your father was born. Resign from Nairaland , all the monikers you are using in crimes are known.

3.@IggyAzalea contacted me and i liberated her together with many others. I asked them to open accounts on Nairaland and study the threads very well as well as your thieving profiles, that is why she is furious in dealing with you because she was just being defrauded. More people re coming .

Maybe nairaland needs to step up to ID verification level. Would not be compulsory, but at least one person would be able to have only one verified account

Maybe it would reduce these claims and counter claims

Educational consultancy and traveling agency na legit business. No be crime.

But red flag is when you hide under different usernames on nairaland and try to psychologically hoodwink people to patronize you.

Sharpen your skills and get more serious with your business. Give your business a brand name and register it. Go legit publicly and let people recognize you. Put out your real names and business identity on social media platforms. In short, go legit

It's up to you if being shady on nairaland is what you want to build your future upon, but just note say no be everybody go be thief like you

I worked as a travel agent for more than 10 years with offices in Lagos Island before the birth of Internet or Web.

I graduated into becoming International visa counselor (USA/CANADA/Australia) since the year 2015.

In the year 2020, i enrolled under a reputable USA visa attorney as an apprentice (because i will eventually base in the United States or Canada) in order to have best knowledge of visa rules and laws.

Presently i have many Chinese and Indian students and visa applicants as my clients (which is more than okay for me) . I have facebook, twitter and other registered international platforms where i do my businesses.

I don't need nairaland for any business purposes but I am open to connection and personal consulting because if i dont do that then my purpose is defeated.

Your clicks ie @fearlessfang, @Zihno, @Danburuwa, @Excellent100 and the rest of fake monikers should stop deceiving nairalanders because you derives your sources of income here. Submit yourself fearlessfang. I will teach you the work of a visa counselor which is the highest position of a travel agent.
