I don't understand why food stuffs is so expensive,last year this same Garri was 1000, this same Garri is now 4000,an increase of 200%.
I think The Government should declare a state of Emergency on Food.
The inflation on food items is criminal,I don't know if there's anything like food reserves in Nigeria,but if it exist, government should as a matter of urgency share the food to Nigerians.
I really really pity Nigerians who fall into the lower income bracket right now, inflation has wiped off whatever savings they have.
Asiwaju,the 36 state Governors,the 774 local government chairmen should please intervene urgently.

It might actually be the way to go o Bro. I asked a man that sells in a part of Ikorodu the reason why its getting so much expensive. He said activities of land grabber is not allowing farmers to cultivate like before. Fufu makers are also competing with garri makers for cassava. Garri makers are mostly out of business as it stands.

Mind you, I have a colleague who is from that town. He has rented for plots of land to plans cassava for this year. Of course he'll pay aboki to work on the farm so he himself doesn't need to hold a cutlass. So if you have the privilege, you should consider it.

The producers of garri had to sell higher to be able to purchase other household items. It is a multiplier effect.

For those clamoring for people to go back to farm,last year i spent almost 250 thousand loan money on farm,with nothing to show for it due to the handiwork of some godforsaken herdsman.they destroyed everything,when i accosted some of them,they threatening me with cutlass.i reported to the law enforcement agency several time and nothing was done bout it...till today i've not been succesful in paying
all the
loan back and am at the risk of being locked up due to default in payment,i had to move away from my location because of that to go and hustle for the money.and am sure there are others with story similar to mine..this country is bleeped up..go back to farm ko,farmer ni
