Having no european football the next season after winning Apoty doesn't boil down well with me. It's counterproductive from my POV.

Completely agree
He should have left last season
But he signed a lucrative contract extension
€10M a season for 3 years is not small money
I think he should keep his head down and do better next season
He will have one more year left on his contract I think
So Napoli would have to do business or risk losing him for free

For once, a Nigerian player signed a sensible contract
I give it to him and his management team

This is Finidi George's coaching philosophy and when he coached, this is what he intense to pass to players. So I wonder what else he needs to say to highlight what he intense to coach players on.

You did not answer the question.

You said Finidi wanted to teach his players his philosophy of attacking which is deep and defending which is also deep.

I wanted to know when Finidi made those statements or whether you just made them up.

Coaches coach with a philosophy. Finidi has told you his philosophy. Na wa.

When he made those statements?

No one said he made those statements. I reviewed his statement and gave a breakdown.

Finidi has a philosophy.

His philosophy hinges on knowing moments to attack and when to defend.

Then me, is explaining that what he is talking about is deep.

So I don't know what else you are attacking.

We have Finidi's quotes and breakdown from people. I wonder where you are requesting extra quotes.

Finidi is a coach with a philosophy.

Coaching involves teaching players to play to your philosophy.

What is this philosophy? Deciphering moments to attack and defend.

Meaning, Finidi is going to teach (coach) the players on moments to attack and defend.

I just pointed out that these phases are deep, meaning there are multiple variables.

It is a breakdown of Finidi's quote, and not a verbatim quote.

I agree with your point but you should know there are players that knows how to play international football. KC is one of the many! KC, bONI AND mOLA front 3 will be trouble any defense in Africa.
komekn:

KC has just had a season to forget he was supposed to tear the championship apart but rather he got torn apart and whipped in the Championship.

He is not in form should not even be in the team.

Striking technique and has scored 5 goals from 23 games in the Championship.

They should find a NPFL player to come in, it seems Aribo is not in the team so where is the creativity and invention in midfield going to come from. It seems all creativity and invention will rest on Iwobi 😳

SA forget the players are a very good team with outstanding cohesion and team understanding they are technically good if we underestimate them we will cry 😭

It's quite a bold move! Initially, I was upset, but after seeing how appreciative and happy these boys were to be called up, I'm sure they would give their all for the country. African football often relies more on heart than skill.

Therefore, I don't think it will backfire, especially since we're playing against teams with most of their players also based on the continent. Taminu was great against Ghana.
AndSunGorilla:

Finidi is making some bold decisions with having Taminu and the Rangers LB on the team, it had better not backfire!!!! Otherwise he might leave faster than he came.

THE RETURN OF THE ERA OF CALCULATOR IN SE QUALIFICATION MATCHES.

I observe from a distance the shenanigans adopted by the NFF after reclaiming our position as a very top country in Afcon.

Firstly, it took the NFF rocket science to appoint a substantive manager to manage the SE after the debacle of plethora of seasoned applicants applications received.

Secondly, the preparation towards the crucial and very important two world cup qualifying matches to take place in June is pathetic, disturbing and demoralising. All manners of quick fix and emergency call ups flying about.
New fresh legs (debutant) invited to play a Bafana Bafana team that has been on the rise for two years now and playing together like a team and dangerous unit not to talk of a Benin republic team that has about 4 Nigerian players and a technical bench full of vengeance.

Observation: Bafana Bafana has always been a tough juggernaut for the SE of recent. It has always been either they beat us at home or we barely escape with very slim margin/victory in competitions played out of Nigeria (Afcon).
Coupled with this abysmal preparation( inexperienced gaffer, withdrawals and debutant call ups) and playing a prepared, tested and refined SA team, its going to be a very long night for SE in UYO.

My verdict: This two matches came too early for the gaffer and there is nothing he will add to the playing style of the SE but only a disjointed, chaotic display and SE will only take one point from six maximum point in the June matches and this will be the albatross not qualifying for the World Cup.

NOTE: Please this is my personal opinion from a mindset free from emotional sentiment after I have carefully listened to the NFF and study what transpired right from the end of the Afcon in mid February to May 31st 2024 in relation to the NFF,appointment of a new manager, selection of players, withdrawals and emergency call ups.
.

The greatest enemy of Nigeria's football is NFF. No road map to success, lazy set of people who resume to work by 10 or 11 as if NFF secretariat is their grandfather's office, no mission and vision.

Infact if I have my way, everyone who has ever worked in NFF after the tenure of air commodore Emeka Omeruoh and alhaji Sani Toro would be thrown into gulag.

He's in a very strong position contract wise, he doesn't need to rush or try to force a move

I am not a prophet of doom, but no one knows what next season will bring

Next season his team may further degenerate and loose more value that will impact the players negatively .

That could mean that VO may not score too many goals in Seria A

Interesting. My own take is that we will win both games. Let's see how it goes.

I am not expecting a chaotic display but expect Finidi George to focus on keeping the team organized in their play.

If he can get them in a short time to keep the ball with good possession, stay organized in the middle to prevent offensive build ups against us, and create a plethora of chances. I believe we can win convincingly in both games.

As for the NFF, they are a disappointment. A big one.

my brother the whole thing tire me

Since this season they hv been calling him out without putting into consideration the number of times he was out injured as well as spending a month with the national team at the last afcon

A striker who managed 15 goals in 25games did well to be honest.

The very reason clubs aren’t circling around him at the moment is because of De laurentis greed. If Vic was like a 60m-80m euros striker top clubs will be battling for his signature by now. Also remember he is African which also is likely to work against him to go for the outrageous amount Napoli wants

I can’t even remember when last we produced a player of such caliber in recent years before his emergence.

Many think been consistent for 3-5 seasons is an easy feat cus CR7 and other greats made it look easy

If na Awoniyi or even Iheanacho finished with 15 goals in an injury plagued season we for no hear word here

Chelsea are not set to target Victor Osimhen as their new striker in the summer transfer window.

The Stamford Bridge club were near certainties to put in a bid for the Nigerian.

However, Fabrizio Romano states that Osimhen may no longer be London bound.

The ex-Lille star cannot move to Chelsea as the finances for the deal are not feasible for the English club.

They are already falling foul of the Premier League's financial rules and have to sell players to comply.

Even if they sell the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Armando Broja, signing a cheaper forward is the likely option.

I think it's Victor's fault for setting expectations too high with his overachievement last season!

The two Africans, Guirassy and Salah, who have more goals than him in the European League this season, performed poorly at AFCON. Yet, some people are nominating them for APOTY while ignoring Osimhen, who had a better AFCON and Champions League performance. Isn't that crazy?

They lost a quality winner in Spalletti and employed poor coaches this season
They are bringing in Conte on a 3 yr deal and invariably the team output will pick up again..
Like you usually quip, quality doesn't hide..

Conte's quality will impact on the team and the general result will be a better performance of the whole..
