While I condemn the killing of soldiers by unknown gunmen, I also blame the military for sending soldiers to the East at a time like yesterday especially as there was no reason to. This excitement by the military to go to the East should be reviewed. 124 Likes 11 Shares |

The soldiers killed were also ibos. Ibos in Abia state were hailing the IPOB terrorists as they were parading and having a good day killing other ibos in uniform inside Abia state. The military should not waste their time. IPOB are already experts in taking out their own people. But if the Army still decides to go-ahead with the retaliation in Abia state, gladly the battleground is Alaibo in the SE. It's not surprising that IPOB ran wild in Abia state unlike other South Eastern states. After LP won the election, Abia state is now the safe haven of the terrorists. IPOB and Obidients are not too different from each other. Alot of Obidients are IPOB members. As for Peter Obi, he has gone deaf and dumb to the terrorism activities that happened in his region. If it was in a different region, he would have bored is with his long epistle of how Nigeria is not safe. Moghalu's wife of do not invest in Lagos as also gone deaf and dumb. The likes of dmerciful (currently abroad), kettykin, gidgiddy, racoon, sisterann e.t.c were hailing the killers on from their safe abode in the SW. Only jmoore and a few others like sonature were the voice of reason. Hypocrites. 92 Likes 15 Shares

Why is the use of language always different between the North and South, we will 'retaliate', 'the audacity' etc While its sad that lives of young men serving their country and those of innocent civilians caught in the crossfire was wasted in a dastardly manner but we should be careful not to deepen division in the minds of citizens by utterances not properly thought out or said out of uncontrolled anger that can cause more damage. If decorum is applied, civilians will reveal the real suspects and cooperate with the military to fish out the perpetrators instead of picking up random individuals and brutalizing them after issuing such threats 32 Likes |

Two wrongs don't make it right.. and it's obvious certain pple are above the law.. in both ways.. But then if this same show of force is executed on terrorists, kidnappers, boko haram and the Ipob miscreants who may be responsible for the death of these soldiers... Nigeria would have been a safe haven. In essence I hope they get the culprits and on the long run actually do due diligence to crop out this unscrupulous elements from our midst. 4 Likes |

Men of the Nigerian army are the dumbest lot you will find anywhere. What kind of Commander deploys his men out to enforce law and order and yet fails to provide them with everything they need to succeed? This is the 21st century for crying out loud can the army adapt for once? You didn't need two heads to have known that IPOB was going to attack yesterday. It also didn't need the brains of a neuro surgeon to have known that IPOB was going to use vehicular transport and move in convoys. For an army that had repeatedly fallen victims to IPOB(s) style of attacks, one would have expected the army to at least have spotters in strategic sections of Aba to provide intel on any vehicular movement that would be of interest. With the billions of dollars budgeted over the years, one would have thought that drone surveillance would be standard for each military and police formation by now. Or even basic radio equipment! How could IPOB have operated and non of the soldiers even the one IPOB allowed to go, was able to radio thier location? A simple drone overhead would have stayed on the IPOB convoy and monitored them as they returned to wherever their base is. How much do these drones cost? Pitiful pennies on the dollar. But since every money at sight must be looted, the army can keep losing its men needlessly. An army that can't protect its own men is useless to the nation it claims it is safeguarding. 31 Likes 6 Shares |
