Osimhen had an injury at the worst time possible, when clubs are starting to draft their transfer plans

Definitely! The injuries history is why clubs are hesitant! He needs to find a way to stay fit. If he is getting this injured in Italy, in England it will be worse with the amount of games played there. Osimhen needs to hire a personal physician to look after him!

if not for injuries Victor for score reach like 20 serie A goals atleast

Aribo cannot create anything from midfield. He is at best a forward. He is just there. It's either he plays as a forward or he is dropped from the team

Apart from Iwobi tell me some one in the current selection that's proven and tested even speculated to be more creative and inventive than Aribo among the current midfield please 🥺

I agree with your point but you should know there are players that knows how to play international football. KC is one of the many! KC, bONI AND mOLA front 3 will be trouble any defense in Africa.

My view is this if you are not in form you will NOT find form it in an international match.

Play those in form and outstanding for club and league.

I understand what you mean but it's highly unlikely
They lost a quality winner in Spalletti and employed poor coaches this season
They are bringing in Conte on a 3 yr deal and invariably the team output will pick up again..
Like you usually quip, quality doesn't hide..

Conte's quality will impact on the team and the general result will be a better performance of the whole..

I see Osimhen scoring 30+ goals next season, all things being equal

The more you play in a league the more defenders know you and read you and the harder it gets.

No guarantee he can replicate his goal tally in the next season.

Eze was invited to train with the SE , he had already played in the QPR first team. The NFF had the option to cap 🎓 him but declined and waited for 2 years plus + ( essentially forgot him) before remembering him after several promises made.,( maybe if he had settled it would have been different.

When he had blown they remembered him.

I blame the NFF 100%

It was a training camp before 2014 World Cup. He was invited as a guest cos he was too young then.

I remember how Conte brought out the quality in Diego Costa that year for Chelsea. I'm optimistic Osimhen will eat good under Antonio who loves utilizing big forwards in his formations.

Besides I'm at a loss why we are questioning the ability of a forward who has scored double digits consistently now for six seasons even with injuries.

GBAM! Osimhen’s biggest weakness right now is his injury record. If he was fit for 30-32 league games this season I’m sure he’d have been challenging Martinez for golden boot again.

I do think his absence in this round of WCQ matches might be a slight blessing in disguise as it might mean Boniface will play as a 9. It’s something I’ve wanted to see for a while and the chance is here.

I disagree football ⚽ is football.

Quality is quality irrespective of the situation, I will always pick the in form players first.

The reality with KC is he has been out form since he left Manchester City. He had one good season at Leicester where he scored 12 goals, 6 other seasons he has not been able to score more than 5 goals. That's poor consistent form for a so called top forward player.

What you should consider if players who are in form where given opportunity how much better would they possibly done ❓

I've been consistent in saying I don't call VO world class.

What makes you world class is being consistently on top of the goal scoring charts ( particularly as a striker) from season to season.

I think he is absolutely an excellent striker but to be world class he needs consistency.

Do you know staying injury free is part of that assesment for being able to be called world class.

VO has had one break out season which was last season when he won the golden boot. Prior to that his previous seasons in Seria A were very good but he was not in the top 3.

His time in France was very good but once again not top of the game. His time in Belgium was very good too.

However, he had had one world class performance and that was last season where he won the golden boot.

His performance in the AFCON was not exceptional as a striker, 2 goal 🥅 is simply not good enough for claiming to be world class.

Finally, he may if not careful be tagged injury prone with the regularity of injury he is getting and therefore a risk.

Finally, how will he cope in the much more physically taxing and faster as well as very intensive EPL ❓Will he be able to cope and be injury free.

I know one or two people in the NFF they will blame the coaches and the coaches the NFF officials.

Where do you start , who will you hold accountable.

First of all, you may wish to disagree but VO, is not on the same level as Haaland similar but very different levels of quality.

That not withstanding Haaland scored 36 last season and 27 this season.

For how many seasond have these players year in year out be on the top of the game for goals .

It's a wrong comparison

Relax
Victor Osimhen will deliver goals next season
Even with his injury plagued season, he still scored 15 league goals

With Conte, he wouldn't have to run so much, that means less injuries
You will see goals

Just relax
Defenders can't stop Osimhen
Only injuries can

Na God dey usually save us most times
Our preparations for games and even competitions have been historically poor and borderline shambolic

We lack a systematic approach to preparing for games and often have to depend on the individual brilliance of our players to sail through
But again, the NFF may be setting Finidi up to fail
We cannot rule out sabotage
