30th May: Identities Of Soldiers Gunned Down By IPOB Terrorists Revealed by BeeBeeOoh(m): 7:57pm On May 31
Details of the soldiers gruesomely murdered by members of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have emerged.

Our correspondents had earlier reported how vehicles and tricycles (popularly known as Keke Napep) were also set ablaze by the rampaging IPOB terrorists while the attack lasted on Thursday.

The military high command had earlier on Friday confirmed that no fewer than 5 of its troops deployed at Obikabia Junction Checkpoint in Obingwa Local Government Area adjourning Aba metropolis in Abia State were killed.

In a signal sighted by Daily Trust on Friday, those killed included two Sergeants, two Corporal and one Lance Corporal while 6 civilians, according to the military were killed in the cross fire.

The soldiers were identified as:

• Sergeant Charles Ugochukwu (94NA/38/1467)

• Sergeant Bala Abraham (03NA/53/1028)

• Corporal Gideon Egwe(10NA/65/7085)

• Corporal Ikpeama Ikechukwu (13NA/70/5483)

• Corporal Augustine Emmanuel (13NA/70/6663)

Then signal read, “On 30 May 24, at about 0830 hrs, troops of 144 Battalion deployed at Obikabia Junction Federal School Road, Ogbor Hill in Obingwa LGA were attacked by unknown gunmen suspected to be IPOB/ESN members.

“Gunmen who were enforcing Sit-At-Home order numbering about 30, stormed troops location in 3 black Toyota Land Cruiser Jeeps and opened fire during which 5 x Soldiers were killed.”

It further disclosed that the assailants also carted away 5 AK47 rifles, burnt down 2 military patrol hilux vehicles and injured 2 civilians.

The signal noted that the current situation in Aba is generally tensed while monitoring continues as further details will be forwarded as situation unfolds.

This is really sad, rest in peace to the slain soldiers.

But does it mean our people don't want to learn, we all saw what happened in Okuoma recently and some persons still went ahead to massacre soldiers.

3 of the soldiers are Igbos, the Augustine Emmanuel fellow might also be Igbo even though his name sounds more "South South". My point is the foolish enablers of this senseless madness that celebrated these killings only ended up scoring an own goal. You are killing your own brothers in uniform and thinking it's "Zoo army" or Northerners you're killing...at the end it's still the Hausa/fulani soldiers that will enter Aba and start causing mayhem on innocent civilians.

When I say IPOB and idiots like Simon Ekpa who want to destroy the good PR going on in the SE are the most tactless set of idiots, I couldn't be more correct. When they are done killing all the Igbo soldiers in the SE, who then will defend Igbos when jungle matures? is it the untrained criminals who call themselves freedom fighters that will fight the Biafra with their stolen weapons?

I love Igbos but they need to wisen up and stamp out unstable individuals like Simon Ekpa and his gangs. Stop feeding the monsters that will come back and destroy you!

RIP to the fallen heroes smh.

One Christian northerner and 4 South easterners. All senior NCOs.

It's not surprising because for about 3 years now, the Nigerian Armed Forces and The Police have been posting Ibo officers to the SE region over officers not from the region.

Apparently, it's a strategy to try and stop the senseless ambush killings due to the familiarity of those officers with the terrain, language, and culture, but it seems not to be working.

100% Facts.

MrVitalis and gidgiddy will still find a way to justify the killings of their own brothers. They will soon it that those killers are not IPOB or ESn despite the fact that Abians were clapping and cheering those murderers yesterday.

IPOB is a peaceful organization and will continue to remain so until we are pushed to the wall.

Meanwhile, quit the hypocrisy and fake love. Your antecedents are well known. Try and provide the names of all the Nigerian soldiers slaughtered by your fulani terrorists in the Katsina just three weeks ago.

Ngwa , nairaland resident ESN terrorists, oya, make una come carry the corpses. Food don done.

I refused to support evil so that evil will not follow or affect my generations unborn. The soldiers you killed were not disturbing anybody, oya make una come enjoy suya, it's ready.

As for Nigeria soldiers, keep treating ipob terrorists with kid gloves, e go soon clear for una eyes. Nonsense

For those of you clapping for the terrorists, make una keep calm, e go reach una, you hear.

You can only deceive gullible people. You are not more IPOB than Nnamdi Kanu or Uche Mefor.

Former Deputy Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Uche Okafor Mefor, has described the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, as the greatest killers of Igbos.

Mefor made the remark while accusing IPOB of “gruesomely killing its own people’.

The former IPOB Deputy leader, in a Facebook post, said the separatist group detests human rights.

He maintained that the group was guilty of crimes against humanity, adding that IPOB was “lawlessness.”

The post titled: “You cannot be claiming that the Nigerian State is killing our people but turn around to behead the same people you vowed publicly to protect and deceptively shift responsibilities when the chips are down and the consequences arise.

“These are the killers of their own people, especially Igbo Biafrans. These killers are indeed daring, desperately presenting themselves as victims and saints but further demonise and victimise the already victimised victims of theirs.

First of all, RIP to the gallant soldiers.
Secondly, post mainly igbo soldiers to alaigbo;
Yoruba soldiers to yorubaland and
Hausa/fulani soldiers to the north!
Let their blodas 'take care' of them as they deem it fit.

• Sergeant Charles Ugochukwu (94NA/38/1467)

• Sergeant Bala Abraham (03NA/53/1028)

• Corporal Gideon Egwe(10NA/65/7085)

• Corporal Ikpeama Ikechukwu (13NA/70/5483)

• Corporal Augustine Emmanuel (13NA/70/6663)

No point posting nigerian soldiers to regions that hate them by default!

My ppl talk say ''when pikin sabi the mYstery of dying, hin papa too must sabi the mAstery of burying"
#cunnyman die, cunnyman buryam!
Enuff is enuff!

True, considering this news with them sharing chocolates and candy

Who gave the order of forced sit at home? Who then should be the likely culprits?

To become an Agbado means you will become mentally enslaved to igbos and that means wailing bitterly online in pain to igbos to the point of losing common sense. 5 soldiers were killed in aba yesterday . Common sense requires that in a working country the IG of police should be held accountable and called upon to investigate and arrest the killers for prosecution but Agbado idiots are calling on a private citizen Peter Obi to do the job of the IG and the incompetent mandate thief sleeping inside aso rock army chief etc as if Peter Obi condemnation will stop such killings from happening in future…including the Obas that were killed recently and thrown into the river and most recently iswap terrorists ordering an entire local government in borno state to vacate etc …nothing can cure the bitterness of brain dead fools except more generational poverty to one they are suffering from which keeps increasing their bitterness
