shameless supporters of evil, I know you are hurt because they are igbos, continue to celebrate, don't blame the government

Evil is not in a people's desire for a separate country from an existing country.
Before Nigeria armed forces started to kill the unarmed IPOB people beginning in a church in this Aba, those IPOB people paraded the streets in the east for years without haming a fly.

Because you have sworn to live the life of parasitism in a dysfunctional country should not be reason for you to see a Separatist organisation as evil.

I found this very painful and disheartening. How can these things happen? Governor Otti have been toiling to rejuvenate the Old Eastern business hub in Aba, then some people went there to cause problems. Look at the level of infrastructural development that Otti has made within a short period of time and you want to ruin everything? The huge investments in infrastructure in Abua state has begun to bring people back home again for investments. Many of our people displaced by insecurity in the north and market demolitions in Lagos found hope in the new business world recreated in Aba by Governor Otti. A man like Alex Otti who is carrying such infrastructural development at such speed should have been respected, and his efforts protected. Umahi did well in building roads in Ebonyi, but Otti is building roads and power infrastructure the same time at an alarming speed.
This guy has seen what our people are passing through everywhere in Nigeria and decided to quickly develop Aba for our people to relocate their businesses, and you went there and killed five soldiers? Now,, Aba will be the only place the government will send soldiers to occupy. 4/5 of soldiers killed in the attack may be Igbos but fed. govt will now send a battalion of other tribes to render the state inhabitable. Our people should have known that other regional politicians are not happy with the level of development carried out by Otti. Now where will those that ran from north and Lagos go to? Soldiers will now start targeting the innocents and the well-to-do for revenge. It was a trap. Now I heard they have laid siege on Aba-port harcourt road.
We are not helping ourselves.

If I were a Nigerian soldier, when 30th May is approaching, I will go AWOL!

BECAUSE just about anybody could disguise just to attack soldiers so they can conveniently pin it on...

I would let them mark their Commemoration, Abi no bi for one day only! Remembering their heroes & heroines means a lot to them. So no need to show off foolishly...

Forget the ethnicity of the victims. Was the killing yesterday necessary? The soldiers was sitting at their duty post they were not harrassing anyone. Why kill soldiers when you know there will be consequencies on innocent people who happens to be the people you falsely claim to be fighting for?IPOB is run by lowest class of Igbos, they lack strategic thinking and will always bring problems to any community they operate in.They are of no good.I wonder why people are still giving them support.

In Anambra State, all the Army check points I know where entirely abandoned by the Army, not because they are afraid or fearful, no no, but because they respect the dead Biafran Armies who died in warfront...

I expected the same to be done all over South East, then let the Government be at alert in case there are killing sprees going on by the unknown gun men to the citizens of Nigeria in South East....then the Nigerian Army can swing in in their majority to calm the situation and deal with those people accordingly....as they are now going against the rights and will of the masses as citizens of Nigeria they are sworn to protect.....

If such were respected and done by the Nigerian Army, we won't be counting dead people by now....

It was Nigerian Army that killed these Biafran Soldiers those people you are protecting are mourning , so you should apply wisdom to follow them especially in a State like Abia and in Aba where they are majority....

Nigeria should be a better country by now, but the government refused....

3 of the soldiers are Igbos, the Augustine Emmanuel fellow might also be Igbo even though his name sounds more "South South". My point is the foolish enablers of this senseless madness that celebrated these killings only ended up scoring an own goal. You are killing your own brothers in uniform and thinking it's "Zoo army" or Northerners you're killing...at the end it's still the Hausa/fulani soldiers that will enter Aba and start causing mayhem on innocent civilians.

When I say IPOB and idiots like Simon Ekpa who want to destroy the good PR going on in the SE are the most tactless set of idiots, I couldn't be more correct. When they are done killing all the Igbo soldiers in the SE, who then will defend Igbos when jungle matures? is it the untrained criminals who call themselves freedom fighters that will fight the Biafra with their stolen weapons?

I love Igbos but they need to wisen up and stamp out unstable individuals like Simon Ekpa and his gangs. Stop feeding the monsters that will come back and destroy you!

RIP to the fallen heroes smh.
It might still be sponsored by govamenti, to destroy what otti is achieving. The focus has left Anambra and Imo is now aba.

There is no justification for the killing, it's condemnable in it's entirety. The earlier fed govt looked into these senseless killings, the better for the country.

A terrorist group warned you to stay clear of the roads and it wasn't that you have no prior information but the Nigerian Army adamantly sent soldiers to a village (Obikabia is a village, and the road is a local government road which makes the presence of soldiers there an eyesore indeed) but yet they got themselves killed by not being vigilant or unprepared. They have guns and ought to use them to finish those UGM.

One Christian northerner and 4 South easterners. All senior NCOs.

It's not surprising because for about 3 years now, the Nigerian Armed Forces and The Police have been posting Ibo officers to the SE region over officers not from the region.

Apparently, it's a strategy to try and stop the senseless ambush killings due to the familiarity of those officers with the terrain, language, and culture, but it seems not to be working.
You are a very dumb person. There's no comment you make here that's not about tribe.

THIS IS EXACTLY HOW THEY WILL KNOWINGLY SELECT SOLDIERS FROM PARTICULAR ETHNIC GROUP AND POSITION THEM FOR BOKO HARAM, BANDITS AND ESN.

THEY WERE QUICK TO RELEASE THE NAME TO TELL US WHAT THEY DID, BUT WE ARE NOT SURPRISE BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT WE KNOW THEY WILL DO.

LAST LAST, WE WILL DEPLETE THEIR SOLDIERS AND THEY WILL HAVE TO FORECFULLY CONSCRIPT YOUNG NIGERIANS INTO THE ARMY.

WHILST THEY PLAY THE ETHNIC CARD WITH THEIR SOLDIERS THE UNITED ESN WILL CONTINUE TO PACKAGE THEM FOR SEND OFF WOTOWOTO!

I agree somehow with you here. The army and police have tactically redeployed most of south easterners to SE and IPOB is foolishly killing their own people in the name of agitation.

This is stupid..there are so many people from diferent tribes including hausas that retired from the army as junior officers..

Progression from junior officer to senior officer is very rare and have nothing to do with your tribe

Yujin:

Your stupidity knows no bound and I won't entertain it. Simply provide the names of the Nigerian soldiers killed in that attack by fulani terrorists renamed bandits by you people. It shouldn't be a difficult thing to do.
Meanwhile, the fulani terrorist boss known as Bello Bodejo has been acquitted of all the terrorism charge against him and is set to be released soon by Tinubu.
Fulanis are still occupying over 150 communities they invaded and renamed but Tinubu wants to set their leader free and bastards like you have pretended like you don't know anything about it.
Your first paragraph is a perfect description of the mistake that birthed you grin
Again, I will explain to you in kindergarten terms.
I said and I’m still maintaining that the difference here is that the people living in the communities where soldiers were killed in the north (Katsina) are not celebrating the bandits’ terror acts and don’t see them as freedom fighters unlike Aba people.
The northerners are a mile wiser than the south easterners in this regard.
A sane community of people (Delta for instance) will try everything possible to dissociate themselves from the attackers but yeebos were seen jubilating on the streets. Even if they are in support of the terrorists, right-thinking people would do so tacitly but then again, ibos and sanity can’t just be put in the same sentence and you’re a living proof.
