In your zombie logic if someone decides to say certain helicopter brands that has been crashing and leading to deaths is killing people then whoever says such will rot in prison without trial.

The funny thing about life is that people like you who support oppression and the evils in Nigeria often get served an overdose of the nemesis you support at some point in life.

Your own is coming.

I just hope you live to tell the tale because you'll never remain the same
Lol...your empty sentimental words on a white background has nothing on me. See your logic: comparing Apples and Oranges! That is what emotion does to you: it makes you a sissy that sees only blurred lines.

Get educated!

Reviews whether positive or negative are REVIEWS but ALLEGATIONS like hers is an overkill and will be proven in the court of Law!

Sign up to help carry all the dead bodies to court when it's time for her to present her evidence of those Erisco Foods killed.

I like the fact that this suing culture is taking root in Nigeria. You have freedom of speech and if you "over talk", I have the right to sue you until all you have left is a shiny bald head! grin grin

No the question is was she right to accuse the company that their products kill people without proof

If something is not right, how is it supposed to be treated in a civilised society.

PS: I'm not standing for what she did, but I'm standing for how justice is meant to be meted.

Have you ever tried building anything in your life from scratch until it grows to as big a level as you have Erisco foods? Then someone just crawled out from their hole to try and rubbish all your years of hardwork? If that happens to you and you are still asking the kind of question, then we will try and answer your questions.

Their are rights and limitations to every right in a democracy. She went overboard in excersising her freedom of expression by defaming the company. Then company decides to take it up and all the time she was in detention, it was a court remanding her. So cant understand how some of us say her detention was illegal.

Even here on Nairaland and social media, some talk recklessly and carelessly not minding the consequences. People like you will watch and clap for them. Then when they are asked to come and defend their positions, you whip up cheap sentiments.

You're as emotional as those people defending the woman blindly, only that you're doing yours in the opposite direction.

The woman didn't do the right thing but I'm talking because justice is not being meted out the right way.

the truth is there's no basis for any criminal complaint here.

ERISCO should sue her civiily.

Paying police to make it a criminal matter is the lowest point of low.

Well, majority of the public support the Chioma lady. ERISCO foods has been boycotted and the brand is now a taboo....so much so that the foolish and power drunk CEO has changed the name of his tomato paste. The public and international community will forever support Chioma.

Again I'd love to see how your ERISCO proves the ki**ing she wrote is killing when it can also be argued that what she meant is kidding or kissing.

Foolish people always enjoy defending their stupidity even when everyone is pointing out the right direction to them

If you are confident you have done nothing wrong, you should confidently go to the courts and explain your actions away and follow all the process through to get justice for yourselves.
Recruiting people on social media will not give you the justice you so deserved.

So you mean to say when she said the product was killing people, you didn't see it was a clear exaggeration? Or you want to pretend like you don't know it's a figure of speech?

OK now.

Finally someone with a functional brain

immortalcrown:
Sentiment rules Nigeria. That is why majority of Nigerians condemn the action ERISCO Foods takes against the lady. Most nigerians place emotions above facts. The best way to handle the case is for the public to send apologies to the brand and assure the brand that its product will not be boycotted. You cannot save the lady by threatening the company. If you keep threatening the company, the company will choose to die as a hero than dying as a coward.

1.
Right from the moment the lady defamed the product, sentimentalists quickly began to beat drums of boycott against the product. According to ERISCO, the demand for the defamed product sharply dropped following the defamation. But sentimentalists now claim that the defamation would not have affected the brand. They claim that what will affect the brand is the action being taken against the lady. So, the brand should have waited to fold up before challenging the defamation? Before you judge a person, put yourself in his or her shoes.

2.
The lady lied against the product by claiming it kills people. Who will keep quiet when accused of killing people? Who? If you condemn ERISCO Foods but cannot keep quiet when you are accused of murder, you are nothing but a hypocrite.

3.
I would have condemned the action of ERISCO Foods if the lady tendered a sincere apology and the public joined her to ask the brand for forgiveness. The same public that the brand's survival depends on believes the lady's claim about the product and threatens to boycott the product. So, the company is trying to save its reputation.

4.
I know she had miscarriage while in police custody, and it saddens me. But we should also know that many workers in ERISCO Foods may loose their jobs and die of hunger because of her defamation. Are you saying it is right for her to try to kill people but it is wrong for the people to try to defend themselves? ERISCO Foods didn't get her arrested to cause her the miscarriage. ERISCO Foods got her arrested for the sake of justice. The miscarriage is a coincidence, not a deliberate action.

5.
She said the paste contains Sugar. It is true, and the company never said otherwise. On the body of the paste, Sugar is listed as one of the ingredients in the paste. But the sentimentalists quickly joined her to cry that the company is deadly for putting Sugar in the paste. They implied that the company has been deceiving the public. How? Does the company hide the fact that the product contains Sugar? If not that you are stupid, you would have checked the ingredients in the paste before displaying your stupidity.

6.
The company explained that the paste is a multipurpose one that can substitute butter for bread. I saw some comments saying that such paste is being consumed for the same purpose in some Western countries. So, ignorance landed the lady and her fans into this mess. Who does a review without a thorough research?

Pls ignore clowns like those below their brain is completely dead.

You are absolutely correct, sentiments here and there because she is a woman fighting a big brand so automatically she is the underdog and she is right when we all know she WAS WRONG and has wicked intentions for the brand not even considering the poor workers there who will loose their jobs if the company folds up.

Exactly.
The power drunk CEO decided to flex muscle with the poor lady.
He got her arrested and the police detained her on orders of the Inspector General of Police till she had miscarriage.

Unfortunately, the IGP and the power drunk CEO forgot that this is information age and we're not in early 2000s or 1990s were such oppression by power drunk people in Nigeria went unnoticed.

Her story got out and then the CEO kept saying she said his tomato paste is killing people in her review.

But this is a lie by the CEO cos her original review never contained such.

It was in her response to an aggressive comment on her review post that she wrote ki**ing.

The CEO interpreted it as killing when it could also mean kidding or kissing, all in a bid to justify using the influence of IGP to have her locked up till her miscarriage.

Is it not shocking that the IGP will be brought so low to the level of oppressing ordinary Nigerians.

Do you still wonder why people have no faith in the police and why insecurity is now so much that even police and soldiers have become endangered species and they hardly get any intel or cooperation from the public in order to fight crime.

This geographical contraption has been rightly described as a shithole.

It is worse than a shit hole

Majority of what population size? You see if I put you in the dock and ask you that simple question from your childish comment you will just stutter and ramble like a toddler.

You sat in your house and just ASSUMED that MAJORITY support Chioma and that the product has been boycotted. Kids on Nairaland sef! Where are your facts?

Do you know the market size that patronise his products? Obviously you don't but out of blind sentiment you are making spurious comments. How many people in a population of 200 million plus are aware of this case?

Go through this thread and you will see someone recently bought the "taboo" grin grin

Oh Erisco should prove that she typed "Killed" instead of "Kissed"? Don't make me laugh biko!

Did you do "fill in the blanks" primary school? Do you understand contextual usage of words? Come you go school so?

How should justice have been meted out? It has to be your own way before you agree it is the right way. Was she not remanded in court on the orders of a court of competent jurisdiction? Who is being emotional here? Now that court orders her bail, has she not been released.

You are the one whipping up emotions about she not being powerful as she reasonn she was detained. As long as her detainment is orderd by the courts, I dont have any pity to give. People should think theor action through before the carry them out.
