The manufacturing and expiry date are stated there.

However the man failed to show images of the weevils. How can we believe the story?

Cereals just like grains are agricultural products that are susceptible to pest infestation. You can find them in food like beans, rice, wheat, etc. The a hole into seeds and habit there. I think there was oversight while processing was going on. Possibly also the weevils escaped while processing was going on and got packaged into their packs.

It is not enough to go to social media to disparage the organization, or put citizens on high alert, as noticed. There is a possibility to damage the reputation of the organization.

It is unfortunate.

It's not expired. He could have got a fake though. Unfortunately, I don't think he is in Nigeria which must be why it was so painful to him.

Where are the weevils? He should at least show the picture of the weevil infested cereal.

The regulatory agency, if alive, should get the batch number of the product and examine other products in that batch to find out if this was a stand alone case.

I’ve had same experience, though in my own case, I transferred the cereal to an airtight container as I have always done since 2015, then my cousins came the following week and complained about bugs in the Cereals, I shrugged it off and trashed it, I felt it entered due to the transfer, but I wondered how it was able to enter an air tight container. I guess this explains it.

This young man can be arrested and detain for this.
