Sawdust or sand can be a good alternative for you

Read my response to the person before you where I say were I plant tomatoes on the window sill.

The point is, farming does not necessarily need to be crops. With some imagination, some are planting actual money.

As for predicting how Nigeria would be in the future, yes, I predicted this future when Shehu Shagari won his second term. Despite knowing there was no way Awolowo could win, it was obvious that how we were going then would lead to where we are now.

And not to claim that I am any good at predicting futures, but I predict here now that anyone who thinks it is bad now does not realise how much worse its going to unfortunately get.
The country is shattered, all I do is hustle and pray for a better country, I wish I have a farm won't be worrying much about yam and fruits but e don be as e go be.
Just do good and shun evil, be time God go help us eradicate those evil leaders in authority and also eliminate bad people among us.

Simple. Farming is very expensive. I spend over 400-500k monthly on maintenance

What kind of farming is that?

Ugu and water leaves grow wildly on our land, and people come to take as they need, since we're not there to use them.

baba, there is nothing like intelligent rigging.

If everybody votes Mr. A and the criminals want Mr. B, on the day of results announcement, Mr. B will be declared the winner.

This is what I would want you to believe so you don't bother voting for my opponent. Then when I'm declared the winner and you contest it in court, I can show you all those pvcs that were voted for me while people like you didn't even bother.

A wise Achebe wrote that the hunter has learnt to shoot without missing. He did not say the bird should give up and die, but should otherwise learn to fly without perching.

If the criminals are as smart as you claim, then I should work harder to be smarter.

For the people telling him to try sawdust and all that, what if he truly doesn't have any money, how do you expect him to feel with such responses? Its enough to drive him to tears and despair. You people should have a bit of empathy. Let's try to be humane.

And what if everybody goes into subsistence agriculture, which effects would it have on the economy, Cassava and yam are not easy to plant in any little space. Considering the fact that most of us lives in rented apartments, this wasn't a main issue for Nigeria 10years old.
What's happening?
Prices of food items are rising everyday and you still call it inflation.

The only effect it would have is that all those who go into it would not complain about the not being able to buy foodstuffs.
Also not sure about planting cassava but on a small land or even on a balcony you can have bags fill with sand and grow yam seedlings to maturity.

In Nigeria, criminals do not have to be smart. they use brute force. do you know how many people were murdered trying to do the right thing in this past election? same court system that they have over run? bro, there are some things you will not understand today and by the time you do, you are going to create a new profile out of shame and express your regrets.

Fair enough. But one big difference between garri and the ones you listed is you can't add groundnuts and water to take it, has to be cooked.

If you get creative then you can.
Just about less than 2 weeks mu laundry man said he has used flour( used for making meat pies) as substitute for drinking garri/groundnut. I can't say if he was joking.
But like I said if you get creative you can do it. Just that you would not grind them to be smooth.

Mercy, do you really think I give a flying fuq if jmoore dies of a lack of gari?

Humane is what we were being when we told people to use their pvc wisely. They told us to stop being obidient then and they are now reaping what they sowed while lying that their pvc did not matter.

Jmoore, sawdust!

We need visionary leaders but is so sad that Nigerians can not decern because of religion and tribal sentiment. See where we are now, old selfish leaders ruling and destroying the country

For inspiration.

AfroBeatDiary:
Today makes it exactly 59th day after planting this corn. The purpose is to use it raise commercial bird towards the end of the year.

After harvesting, I will be planting soybeans which is another important and expensive raw material to raise bird.

You will recall that I made a thread earlier on how caterpillar attack the corn but turnout fine after applying pesticides which ofcourse involves crop production in this link and how I have laboured tirelessly to raise capital and loans, the SMEDAN loan ought to be a lifeline but only turn out to be an #audioloan and sterling bank ain't saying anything further on it audio loan but here we are 59th day.

Have you tried sawdust? It's free from the sawmill or 50 Naira per garawa depending on the wood quality.

Alternatively, grow your own cassava and make your own gari.

Brace up. The target is 7k and 7.5k per custard. It will matchup with the price of a custard of rice.

I was initially upset with this intentional wickedness, but now, I'm in support of it rising to 7k and by God's grace, we'll achieve it. cheesy

My village people produce garri in abundance, but not rice. Since rice producers think they're the only one with the right to inflate things, we'll tell them it's not true.

Try fonio. I don’t know if it’s used in making swallows. The average human eats too much, abeg. Villagers in Senegal and Gambia eat akamu twice a day for breakfast and dinner. They consume akara as a midday snack. If you exercise on top of that, you will be healthier than your peers. Na protein I dey reason wey go supplement the regimen. Cow blood?
