TLS is a private entity. Private establishments are going about their business. Banks opened today, Kids went to school etc. So the strike should not affect your appointment. That appointment is not what you want to miss else it means paying another fee i believe.. Set out tomorrow head there and see what happens. emenwa: 1 Like |

gtwice:What kind of fear mongering is this Both ppl who got the visas denied and those who eventually succeeded will always have that message. That's a standard computer generated message sent to everyone who does biometrics from the various decision making centres telling you that the passport is now with the DMC. 5 Likes |

Oluwawamiri: Don't pay attention to what the previous guy who mentioned you said. Don't go and be contemplating bodily harm in one corner. This is a standard msg generated by AI and sent to every individual who does biometrics. 3 Likes |

There are two types of messages sent by UKVI. This one I quoted and another one which I will share in my next post. I've noticed that anyone who receives the email below does not get the visa. If you received the visa after getting this email, please let us know. Right now, it seems the majority of people who receive this email do not get issued the visa Dear xxxx Thank you for your visa/entry clearance application which has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days and settlement applications within 60 working days (unless you have opted for a Priority Visa service). We are unable to resolve your application within these customer service targets, due to operational restrictions. Please be assured that we will continue to progress your application to enable a decision to be made as soon as possible. Please do not attend the application centre until you have been contacted by the VAC. Kind regards Croydon DMC Thegamingorca: |

This is the second type of email sent by UKVI after your biometrics. I have noticed that anyone who gets the below email receives the visa Dear Customer Thank you for your Visa Application which has arrived at the UKVI Decision Making Centre and is now awaiting consideration: Depending on the service you purchased, we aim to process: - Super priority visa applications the day after biometric submission - Priority visa applications within 5 working days of biometric submission - All other visa applications within 15 workings days of biometric submission* You will be contacted by the Visa Application Centre when your passport is ready for collection. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been invited to do so. *Please note the above about current processing times and extremely high demand. We strongly recommend that you do not buy a non-refundable, non-flexible ticket to the UK, until your visa application has been approved and you have received your documents. If you enrolled your biometrics at a US Dept of Homeland Security Application Support Centre (ASC) then the processing time on your application will start as soon as we receive confirmation from the New York Scanning Hub that your supporting documents have been received and uploaded to our system. If you attended a VFS Premium Application Centre (PAC) then the processing time starts on the day you enrolled your biometrics. Please refrain from contacting the enquiry service within the processing times. You will be contacted again when your application has been considered. If anyone else contacts you advising that your application is still under consideration or that they can influence the outcome of your application in any way, they cannot - please report any such approach to UKVI at https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-outside-uk. Kind regards Visits UK 1 Like |

Oluwawamiri: Hello, This is not true. I got this email in 2022 and my visa was refused. 1 Like |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by gtwice: 7:58pm On Jun 03 |
Oluwawamiri: Not true. I first got this immediately after her biometrics. Then I got the second type of letter talking about the non straightforward application and that it might take longer time to decide which was a day before I got the refusal email. |

My point is has anyone who got the email stating the application might take longer time etc etc...... gotten their visa approved?? No one has come to say they have. I am trying to say once this type of email is sent the person dose not get the visa. gtwice: |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Finecoco1: 2:23pm On Jun 04 |
Oluwawamiri: This is not true. Two personal friends got that type of email in 2022 and still had their visas with that of their families approved. I think it is called non-straight forward mail or something. |

Exactly! Fact is one cannot categorically know the decision until the visa is out. Each individual case is different. All that permutation people do doesn't always work. Finecoco1: 1 Like |

Good day all, please I need your advice. Myself and my siblings, all four of us, intend to sponsor our mum’s trip to the UK. In filling out the form, we have stated our names as the sponsors. Should we all submit our bank statements, or should we transfer the funds to our mum’s account before submitting the visa application? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by roak: 4:45pm On Jun 04 |
The immigration officials usually query large sums been transferred to a persons account. Even with cover letter, and explanations people have given, they still bounce them. I've read a few of those accounts here. Maybe an oversight from the immigration officers path. My advice - all 4 of you submit your bank statements, Let your mum put a cover letter mentioning she is coming for holiday to see her 4 children who are her sponsors and they would be responsible for her upkeep and all other travel arrangements. She should even include the itinerary of how long she plans to stay with each child. Example 2 weeks with lagbaja, 3 weeks with Tamedo, etc (I'm sure you and your siblings have cute names. Don't mind my example . You get the drift though) . Including the itinerary shows its a well thought out holiday. No information is too much when it comes to these immigration guys... Birth certificate from all four of you siblings should be included as well, to show proof she's your mum. Most importantly - i hope she has enough evidence to show strong ties to home. With 4 kids abroad, the immigration officer might be inclined to think she wants to japa! If she has ties show evidence of that. Businesses back home, assets, family - husband, partner, aged parents shes caring for etc. snowphunmee: |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Finecoco1: 4:49pm On Jun 04 |
snowphunmee: You all are the sponsors so all of you will submit your financial statements showing your individual proof of funds. If your mum is fully sponsored, her account statement is not even required but can still be submitted to prove whatever was stated as her personal financial position. Also, I will advice you submit payslips to show that the inflows and funds in those accounts are from legitatimate income source. Also, attach something like birth certificates for each of you to prove relationship with your mother. My advice. 2 Likes |

snowphunmee: Four sponsors for what exactly? You will cause unnecessary confusion! Three people should transfer their contribution to the fourth person and then the fourth person will act as the sponsor. Count six months from the day after the money was transfered. Don't transfer money to your Mum's account 1 Like |

Good day folks, please how can I show proof of funds for my uk tourist visa and what documents would I need?I am a salary earner I earn 1.2m monthly and it's individual tax clearance compulsory? and what my chance of getting visa I have no travel history but I am married plus kid........ looking forward for answers |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Cashmadam: 9:53pm On Jun 04 |
oasmart: 1. POF - Savings or Current account. Fixed deposit. Treasury Bills. Money Market Funds. Bonds etc 2. Statements of account, proof of employment, documents for assets etc 3. Tax clearance not compulsory. Your payslip will show how much tax you pay monthly.. 4. Nobody can predict the outcome of your application. Apply, pray and hope for the best 5. Travel history really helps but it is not compulsory 1 Like |

Hello guys! I need help urgently. I want to invite my mum and my brother to the uk for my graduation. However, I have put in an application for them but I’m not confident about it. Today is their biometrics which I’m thinking of cancelling. In the current application, my mum is self employed, she has a business but she has been using her personal account to run her business and her CAC is inactive. I added receipts from her business, landed properties, receipt from tenants, and My dad is supposed to sponsor my dad’s trip. Please advice me on what to do as I’m at crossroads now. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 7:28am On Jun 05 |
Bimri:And your brother? Your mother may/might scale through but if your brother’s circumstances are such that you still need to fully sponsor this trip, I would cancel |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by roak: 7:54am On Jun 05 |
You're welcome. Why the need for 4 sponsors though if I might ask? Technically there's no limit to the number of sponsors that can be used. But you also dont want to overcomplicate the process. I had previously advised someone who posted from Nigeria saying her mum and dad wanted to sponsor her that she should only stick to one sponsor (I had a bit of bias as to your case when you said all 4 of you siblings were in the UK). Any 2 of you whose accounts are the most buoyant with enough funds to show support? snowphunmee: |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 8:03am On Jun 05 |
gtwice:Hello, You said she is self employed and earns 11 million annually and in prior post you say again she is a petty trader… that is massive… reason for coming… you said is to attend daughter in law’s graduation… hmm ECO also mentioned several unexplained deposits and no evidence of home ties.. which of the above have your rectified as you say you have to reapply now? On what basis would the reapplication be based on pls? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Bimri: 8:18am On Jun 05 |
I am not sure I understand. My dad is sponsoring my brother’s trip financially. giselle237: |
